I continue to be fascinated by the women of Scripture who are often overlooked or overshadowed, yet whose stories reveal extraordinary faith and courage.

The hemorrhaging woman endured twelve years of suffering and isolation, yet her faith led her to reach for the hem of Jesus’ garment and receive healing. The widow of Zarephath, in the midst of famine, trusted God enough to share her last meal with Elijah and witnessed God’s miraculous provision. Susanna faithfully supported Jesus’ ministry and remained a steadfast disciple, though her story is often overshadowed by others.

These women may occupy only a few verses in Scripture, but their lives remind us that God sees those whom the world often overlooks. Their faith, perseverance, and trust in God continue to inspire and teach us today.

Sometimes the most remarkable stories belong to those who quietly change the course of salvation history.
