Dunwoody Kids- a ministry of DUMC Dunwoody Kids knows that raising kids is one of the most important missions you’ll ever pursue. This is hard work!

The Children's Ministry of Dunwoody United Methodist Church teaches and nurtures children from birth through 5th grade as they grow in faith with us and experience God's grace. We also know that there’s no guidebook in this world that is constantly changing and presenting new challenges to raising healthy children. We want to come along side you as a community of families doing the hard work together. We imagine a community in which every child knows they belong to God and grows into the big hopes God has for their lives. We believe that the connection we’re building with God and each other will transform us, our community, and the world- and we want you to be part of that story! Step aside parents… kids are taking over!

Children can sign up to serve in some of the same roles our adult volunteers fill each week—from greeting and helping with donuts to waving the sparkler and leading the Lord’s Prayer.

Sign your child up below and help us show them that they’re never too young to serve, lead, and be an important part of our church.

Here at Dunwoody Kids, we believe in building up children who are confident, capable, and equipped to navigate the world around them with faith, resilience, and courage.

Our Fall 2026 Spotlight is "Capable" by Sissy Goff and David Thomas—trusted voices who combine clinical expertise with warmth, humor, and hope. Next Friday (9/11) from 9:30 - 11:30AM, Goff and Thomas will be at GAC for an inspiring conversation about their new book, *Capable*!

We hope you’ll join us as they share practical ways parents can help children build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, overcome challenges, and grow into emotionally healthy young people who are prepared to thrive.

This upcoming Sunday (9/6) there will be no Kids Worship or Sunday School!

Join us for a special Family Worship were kids will stay in service with their families as we worship together. Our normal kid's Sunday programming will return 9/13.

Tomorrow is Backpack Blessing and Promotion Sunday!

Make sure your kids bring their backpack to our Modern and Traditional Worship services we will invite them to the stage, say a prayer for the school year, and give them a cute little take home to remind them they are always welcome here at Dunwoody Kids!

During our 10 AM Sunday School hour we have Promotion Sunday! This is the time all kids will move up to their new grade level!

It’s going to be the BEST SUNDAY EVER and we can’t wait to spend the morning with you and your family!
