The Connected journey concludes where Christian discipleship always begins—with God's mission.

Throughout this series we have celebrated God's generosity, strengthened our relationships, discovered our purpose, and prayerfully considered our next faithful step.

Now we are invited to live what we have learned.

Commitment Sunday is not the finish line. It is the beginning of another year of worship, service, generosity, and ministry together at Newnan First United Methodist Church.

Every prayer. Every act of kindness. Every hour of service. Every financial gift. Together, they become Christ's ministry through the life of the church.

The thing keeping everything from flying apart has a name. On your best or on your worst day, the one holding it ALL together is Christ. That is what Rev. Andrew reminded us during his sermon on Sunday.

You can hear his whole message on this week’s episode of the Newnan First United Methodist Church podcast.

One of our favorite gatherings of the year is the Holy Ghost Marshmallow Roast, always on the last Sunday in October. And this year we also celebrated Bob's birthday!

Newnan First UMC UTH and ROOT345, along with their families, come together each year for a mission service project before celebrating the season with s'mores over a campfire.

This year we packed hygiene kits for ELEVATE Coweta Students. We're proud to support this mission partner!

Your generosity is already becoming ministry here at Newnan First United Methodist Church. Because of your faithfulness...

• Children will continue growing in faith.
• Neighbors will receive care.
• People will encounter the love of Jesus Christ.
• Mission partners will continue serving around the world.

Thank you for helping our congregation continue God's work in our community and beyond through your 2027 pledge.

Today we celebrate God's faithfulness.

As an act of worship, we invite you to offer your Estimate of Giving for the coming year. Whether your commitment represents your first step, your next faithful step, or the continuation of a long pattern of generosity, thank you for responding prayerfully to God's grace.

Every gift becomes part of Christ's ministry through Newnan First United Methodist Church. Join us in prayer:

Generous God,
Receive our prayers, our commitments, and our lives as acts of worship. Use this congregation to proclaim your Gospel, make disciples, care for our neighbors, and bring hope to our community and the world. May everything we do point others to Jesus Christ. Amen.

We hope you'll join us after the 11:00am worship service for a church-wide luncheon celebrating stewardship season and commitment Sunday. Even if you haven't RSVP'd, please come eat and fellowship with us!

We've been hard-pressed to find programming that brings more joy than Ken Scott Magic night at Wednesday Night Supper. Just look at these smiling faces!

Grace gives us an identity we do not have to earn and a purpose we do not have to invent. God’s workmanship is formed for justice, kindness, humility, and good works.

Every act of generosity becomes ministry, including making your 2027 pledge.

As you prepare for Commitment Sunday, take a few quiet moments today and pray: “Lord, what is my next faithful step?”

We want to make you aware of a phishing email that was sent yesterday. Our finance director’s email was hacked, and it seems this email was sent to anyone he's contacted. We're adding additional security measures to our church accounts to prevent this happening again. In the meantime here’s how to protect yourself:

* If it sounds weird or suspicious, it probably is! You’re invited and encouraged to email the Church Office if you receive something questionable.
* When Newnan First UMC asks for pledges or gifts, we will link the GIVE page of our website or send you directly to the Realm payment portal. This is a SECURE way to give money to the church.

If you clicked the link in Owen’s email, we recommend you reset your password immediately. If you're having trouble or think your account may have been compromised, please email [email protected].
