On Thursday afternoon, our CAN pastor, Joseph D’Angelo, traveled to Dalton, Georgia, for a roundtable discussion with the Shepherds of Government and the Shepherds of the Church.

During the discussion, Joseph emphasized the importance of fulfilling Jeremiah 29:7, which states:

“And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace there of shall ye have peace.”

As Joseph continues his journey of shepherding and serving communities through faith and leadership, we invite you to join us in praying for wisdom, strength, and guidance over his ministry.

Lainey Greer, Ph.D., a Research Fellow at the Center for Biblical Worldview, is dedicated to equipping Christians with a biblical foundation for body stewardship through her initiatives, including Your Body Matters. With a rich background in exercise science and systematic theology, she passionately addresses topics like body image and wellness, empowering believers to honor God through their bodies. We are more than excited to host her.

As we approach the celebration of Mother's Day, it's important to remember our very first home: the womb. The incredible journey of carrying a child is both beautifully challenging and deeply nurturing. For nine months, a mother's body is an entire world, offering love, protection, and life itself. Today the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily reinstated a nationwide requirement that abortion pills be obtained in person — closing the mail-order loophole that has allowed abortions to continue in states with protective laws like Georgia’s.

Georgia’s Heartbeat Law has saved over 22,000 babies from abortion since enacted. But out-of-state telehealth prescriptions and mailed pills have continued to undermine state law. Today’s ruling addresses that directly.

The ruling is temporary and will likely face a Supreme Court challenge. But it affirms what pro-life advocates have argued: federal regulations cannot be used to nullify state law. We give thanks and keep working.

Judges paused an FDA rule allowing doctors to send mifepristone through the mail, limiting access to the most popular method for ending a pregnancy.
