Central Avenue United Methodist Church

Central Avenue United Methodist Church Worship: 9:30 a.m. Uptown (29 E. Carpenter). 11 a.m. Westside (73 Central Ave). We meet on weekends at two locations in Athens, Ohio. We gather at 9:30 a.m.

Here at Central you’ll find a friendly mix of college students and townfolk, young and old, from a variety of nationalities and ethnic backgrounds-in fact, a pretty good reflection of the Athens community as a whole. Whether you're a mature believer or a skeptic just curious to check out this "Jesus thing," we welcome you to join us in our quest to know God better through contemporary worship, rel

Update: do to the impending weather we are postponing until 10 am on Monday, May 25th

At 5pm tomorrow, May 24th, Dan will be spreading mulch at Westside. Anyone that wants to join in and help is more than welcome. Bring work gloves.

Central Friends: Out of an abundance of caution, and to prioritize the safety of our volunteers and church community, we are canceling both in-person services for tomorrow.

Many of our volunteers live outside the city of Athens and our fear is even if it’s clear when we start, the experts seem to be telling us that it’ll be pretty bad by noon.
