John declares Jesus as the Word. In Greek this is O Logos. This is an old word in the Greek used by Homer, the great myth teller, and by the Stoic philosophers. Logos simply means revelation as both reasoning and speaking, but when John says "O Logos “The Word” then it can only mean the One who spoke creation into existence and who is the expression and express image of God to us.

This is what the Christian life is supposed to be, a spiritual life. A life lived with the supernatural and the eternal as the greatest priorities and goals of my life. Paul is saying to the Corinthians, salvation isn’t meant to just change your final destination it is also meant to change your life’s destiny. After salvation your destiny is to live spiritually by the power of God’s Holy Spirit.
