A welcoming, progressive Episcopal Church in the heart of Ashland's historic district, Trinity is a vital community of service, mutual support, and outreach. Our Sunday morning worship is blended catholic and protestant liturgy with Communion, with rich musical and visual adornment further fostering and expressing our prayers. We have chanted morning prayer each day, and Sunday evenings said evening prayer, or contemplative or Celtic Eucharistic worship.

We sorrow at the events which took place at the Islamic Center of San Diego yesterday, and wish to express solidarity with all religious minorities who are targeted for intolerance and violence. Please pray for the victims of yesterday’s attack and their families, and for Muslim communities throughout the United States, especially Masjid Al Tawheed in Talent, Oregon and the Islamic Center of San Diego.

We pray for Bishop Thomas Breidenthal, Rector at Trinity Episcopal Church from 1988-1992, that his merciful savior release him from every bond, and raise him to the life of perfect service in his glorious reign.

The Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio gives thanks for the life and ministry of our ninth bishop diocesan, the Rt. Rev. Thomas E. Breidenthal. Bishop Breidenthal died yesterday evening surrounded by his family. He was 75.

Bishop White shares, “Tom Breidenthal’s ministry in this diocese was marked by wisdom and theological commitment. He challenged people throughout the diocese to think more deeply, to love more fully, and to follow Christ more faithfully—a witness to the transformational power of life in Jesus Christ. I am deeply grateful for his life and witness and for the care he shared with me, personally. I join with people across this diocese and the wider Church in commending him to God’s eternal care.”
