What are you obsessively passionate about? Pickleball, golf, knitting, playing piano… Tetris???

Whatever it is, when you do it “enough” it starts to haunt you like a friendly ghost. You see it everywhere, hear it everywhere; it’s stuck in your head.

When we’re practicing our faith “enough” the same thing starts to happen. Except in this case it isn’t *like* a friendly ghost… it’s the Holy Ghost.

Here’s a particularly timely quote from my snow/ice day reading:

“We oppose all laws and policies that attempt to criminalize, dehumanize, or punish displaced individuals and families based on their status as migrants, immigrants, or refugees. Additionally, we decry attempts to detain displaced people and hold them in inhumane and unsanitary conditions. We challenge policies that call for the separation of families, especially parents and minor children, and we oppose the existence of for-profit detention centers for such purposes.”

That’s from paragraph 163.IV of our Book of Discipline. It’s in a section called “The Social Principles,” which will be our theme for Lent at this year (starting Sunday 2/22).

We’d love for you to read and pray and seek action with us.

A marriage isn't the finish line for a relationship. A decision to follow Christ isn't the finish line for our faith. Both are just the beginning.

When we start on this journey of faith, a good place to start is with the triage approach to spiritual health: "Do no harm."
