In this week’s This Week at Trinity, hear from our Rector, Scott, about the upcoming youth mission trip to Ecuador—where fifteen of our youth and three adults will partner with Education Equals Hope in a ministry of learning, relationship, and shared hope.

Rooted in the spirit of Pentecost, this journey is an invitation to see one another not as strangers, but as neighbors, united across languages and cultures by God’s love.

Rev. Amy Peterson tells the story of Basil of Caesarea, a 4th-century bishop whose Christian theology of care led to the first hospital — a place where the sick, poor, and travelers could receive treatment and shelter. The sermon connects that history to modern acts of Christian imagination and ju...

This Sunday at 5:30 PM, join us for a special Trinity Sunday Bach Vespers featuring one of Bach’s finest church cantatas, BWV 78, Jesu, der du meine Seele (“Jesus, you have freed my soul”). Prelude music begins at 5:20 PM; this is a rare chance to hear this music in the kind of liturgical setting it was written for—right here in our own church.

What is God’s power really for?

In this week’s newsletter, Amy reflects on Pentecost and how the disciples had to rethink everything they expected from Jesus. Instead of political power, they were given something deeper: the power of the Holy Spirit—to see God at work and to speak that truth into the world.

It’s a reminder that God’s vision is bigger than ours, and that we’re called to witness to a love and power that can transform even the most broken places.
