Code Purple for Saturday, 4/6/24.

Additional weather information can be found at weather.gov

Purpose of Code Purple:
Code Purple is a coordinated effort among Asheville and Buncombe County shelters and other organizations to provide emergency overflow shelter to people experiencing homelessness during extremely cold weather (at or below 32 degrees, including wind chill, or 33-40 degrees with precipitation). During Code Purple, participating shelters will provide more beds with fewer requirements than their typical programming. Code Purple sites will also work with participants to refer them to ongoing shelter and housing options.

🚴Pedaling with Purpose!🚴

Join Rev. Mike Reardon as he takes on the RockStar Challenge bikepacking race, a thrilling 250-mile journey from Harrisonburg, VA, to Roanoke, VA, on April 20th on behalf of the Church of the Advocate.

This ride isn't just about the miles – it's about making a difference. Rev. Mike decided to dedicate his race to the Church of the Advocate, and he's asking for your support! Every donation to the Church of the Advocate Bike Race Fundraiser will help us reach our goal of $2,500 by the finish line.

As a thank you for your generosity, contributors will receive exclusive access to a blog series featuring pre-race reflections, race diary entries, pictures, and a post-race debrief. Plus, you'll get a link to a real-time "dot tracker" to follow my progress!
Here's how you can give:

🔹 Online: Visit https://onrealm.org/ChurchtheAdvoca/-/form/give/default and select "Bike Race Fundraiser" from the dropdown.
🔹 By Check: Write a check to the Church of the Advocate with "Bike Race Fundraiser" in the memo line and mail or hand deliver it to the office at Trinity.

Let's ride together for a cause and support the Church of the Advocate! 🌟
