Today was Decoration Day at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and it was our honor and privilege to welcome Rev. Randy Barnwell to share God's Word with us. Randy was raised at Mt. Zion and faithfully served as a missionary in Africa, making his visit especially meaningful to our church family.

His message, "How Many Know You Are a Christian?", was based on Proverbs 3:5-6. He reminded us that the things of this world can never truly satisfy the deepest needs of our hearts. Real contentment, peace, and joy are found only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

If you have never accepted His invitation, today is the day. Open your heart, trust God completely, and follow His lead. In the end, a relationship with Christ is the only thing that truly matters.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." – Proverbs 3:5-6

Decoration Day & Fellowship Lunch

We invite everyone to join us this Sunday for service at 11:00 am for Decoration Day at Mt. Zion.

Following the service, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall for lunch and a time of food, fellowship, and remembrance. Whether you are a member, former member, family, friend, or visitor, we would love for you to come and spend the day with us.

We look forward to worshiping together, sharing a meal, and celebrating this special day. We hope you'll make plans to attend both the service and lunch!

Today, we are honored to welcome Rev. Kevin Garner as he shares a message about going into all the world from Matthew 24:1-14.

In a world that needs hope more than ever, Christ has called His people to carry the Gospel beyond the walls of the church and into our homes, workplaces, communities, and everyday lives. As believers, we are challenged to show the love of Christ through our actions, share the truth of God’s Word with others, and support the work of spreading the Gospel around the world.

May we be reminded that every Christian has been given the opportunity to be a witness for Christ. Let us faithfully live out our testimony each day so others may see Him through us.

Today Pastor Troy preached from The Gospel of John on The Love That Was Present At Calvary, scripture Jon 19:25-27. Even at the cross, we see love on full display — the disciples’ love as they stayed near Jesus, a mother’s love through Mary’s sorrow, and the Father’s love shown through the sacrifice of His Son. Calvary reminds us that true love remains faithful, compassionate, and sacrificial.
