Ashburn, VA 20147 The Word Church was birthed out of the vision of two Pastors, Rev. Dr. Randy M.

Haynes and Pastor Tony Ray Smith, with two separate and distinct churches to do more together for the Kingdom of God. Open the Book Ministries and The Empowerment Church first joined in partnership by sharing a worship location beginning in November of 2015. Upon the announcement of Rev. Dr. Haynes' retirement, a prayerful decision was made to merge both churches and hold one worship service start

ing in March 2016 with the anticipation of a new ministry commencing in January 2017. Relationships grew and God was truly glorified as OTB/TEC became one body during those nine months of worship and fellowship.

What a heartwarming day! On Saturday, December 7, 2024, The Word Church had the joy of serving the Wringler House Seniors. The day was filled with food, fun, and fellowship, featuring beautiful Christmas carols from the Park View Band. Seniors enjoyed taking framed photos at the photo wall and wrapped up the festivities with a classic game of bingo. ❤️🎄
