We are so thankful that the heat we've had this week wasn't here for last week's Arthur Mennonite Relief Sale. Boy, it's been a HOT one. Did you know that a great way to cool off is by enjoying a fully airconditioned Sunday morning service with us here at AMC 😉

It's a First Sunday Fellowship Meal this Sunday! This carry-in potluck is always full of delicious food and it is fun to sit and connect with each other following worship. See you there!

Outdoor Community Movie Night. We'll be at Vine Street Christian Church (on Park St) this Sunday evening beginning with fun pre-show entertainment by Mike&Mike at 7:45pm. They always have great dad jokes to share! Bring golf carts, chairs, and anything you need to be comfy while we watch Zootopia at 8pm. Thank you Golden Drizzle for providing popcorn and Country Salvage for providing water.

Are you a "yard sale fanatic"? We are excited to hold an AMC Yard Sale Fundraiser during the town-wide garage sales next week on September 10-12. We'll be open on Thursday (5-8pm), Friday (7am-6pm), and Saturday (8am-2pm). 100% of the proceeds from everything sold will be given to those in need at AMC.

"The Healing Of the Heart"
Luke 4:14-21
Pastor Glen will be taking us through a mini-series titled "The Restoring Power of Jesus" over the next 3 Sundays. This series will touch on healing, wholeness, and peace through Jesus Christ.
Our first message this Sunday looks at how Jesus begins his ministry by declaring he came to heal the brokenhearted quoting the words of the prophet Isaiah. We'll focus on things such as emotional restoration from past wounds, rejection, and grief; acknowledging our hidden, internal fractures; understanding Christ’s specific mission for emotional healing; exchanging our heavy burdens for His peace.

We've had a few days to reflect on this year's Relief Sale, and we are still overwhelmed by the support! There will be so much help given through these funds - 20% locally and 80% globally!

God's hand was in it all - through the volunteers and attendees - and we praise Him for his faithfulness and gift of abundance. We pray that these relief efforts bring glory to God!
