Yes, we know this post is a little overdo, but we still want to say THANK YOU! 2026 was another amazing week of VBS that was full of so many great activities and Jesus-centered learning! The kids were a blessing and the volunteers made the week look easy 😉 We pray that the lessons learned and scripture heard will be written on each heart and will grow from a small seed into a big desire to follow Jesus!

Each day we hosted 100+ kids (K-8th grade) and had the help of 50+ volunteers. During the 5 days we gathered, the kids were able to raise $1,250, with an added $1,250 from those in attendance at our Friday program for a grand total of $2,500 in Mission Project donations!

We are excited to bless the Everhart Family with $1,250 and Convoy of Hope with another $1,250. This ministry continues to demonstrate the truth that God is moving and is changing lives through ALL ages. Pray for the Everhart family as Michelle continues to undergo cancer treatments and looks ahead to a liver transplant. Pray for each life that is touched by Convoy of Hope through their mission work here and around the globe.

We are overwhelmed again with gratitude for every person who supports this annual summer ministry through donations, prayers, and everything in-between. We are praising God for his faithfulness and abundant blessings over VBS. Being part of something this special is a testimony to this community and the passion they have to share God's love with the next generation! God is good! All the time!

Check it out! This is the Global Mission Project this year! They are responding to Streator, IL and other communities near us following the storms this week. We can’t wait to send Convoy Of Hope the $1,250 of $2,500 we raised during VBS 👏👏👏

When natural disasters leave communities in need, Convoy of Hope is among the first to respond with aid. Your donations make it possible.

Arthur Community VBS is a wrap, folks!

These amazing young kids, fantastic volunteers, and so many in the community are what makes this week so great. There are just way too many people to thank without probably missing one. This ministry is truly special and we see evidence of God's faithfulness through it all.

The children were able to reach $1,200 all on their own before the program. Following the generosity of those who attended, we were able to DOUBLE that amount and reach a total of $2,500! The Everhart Family and Convoy of Hope will be receiving $1,250 each 🙌 And boy, that reward was FUN 😉 God is good. All the time!

The VBS Committee did a wonderful job once again and we know 2027 is gonna be GREAT!

SPREAD THE WORD

AMC has power and the campus is safe, minus a few limbs that will be moved before we start the day. VBS will be running as normal today. All who would like to attend our 11am program are welcome to join us.

With that being said, we know that many around town have trees and power lines down. If it is not safe for your children to get to the church, we understand if they need to stay home. We are thankful that everyone is okay after last night, even if there are clean ups and insurance calls today.

We saw SNOW at VBS today! ❄️ Well… let’s just say Amazon helped make that happen. 🤷‍♀️ Another fantastic day on the mountain is in the books, and we can’t wait to share everything we’ve learned at our closing program tomorrow!

Join us at 11:00 AM at AMC as our K–3rd graders sing, dance, and worship together as they celebrate an incredible week of VBS. Our 4th/5th grades will be playing shaving cream wiffle ball and Jr High will be at Aikman’s Wildlife.

During the program, we’ll be giving everyone in attendance an opportunity to support our mission projects as we make a final push toward our $1,000 goal. Please continue praying for the Everhart family as Michelle continues cancer treatments and looks ahead to a liver transplant. We also pray for the lives being impacted through the ministry of Convoy of Hope around the world.

With just one day remaining, we’re already thanking God for His faithfulness, blessings, and goodness shown throughout this week. Thank you to every child, volunteer, parent, donor, and supporter who has been part of what God is doing through VBS. We can’t wait to see what He has in store for our final day! ❤️🙌✝️

Lift Lesson: I can give my all!

The water was flowing and the kids LOVED IT! We also took our big group photo (coming soon) today featuring everyone who is attending and volunteering this week. And that brings us to an important part of VBS which perfectly reflects today's lift lesson - I can give my all.
VBS simply wouldn't be possible without our incredible volunteers. From high schoolers to retirees, it takes a team of dedicated people to share the love and good news of Jesus with more than 100 kids each day. Our volunteers bring their energy and servant hearts every morning. Whether it's offering a smile, a hug, a high five, a listening ear, or encouragement, they pour themselves into making each child feel seen, loved, and valued. Even on the days when they may not feel up to it, they continue to show up and give it there all.

We are so grateful for every volunteer who faithfully serves in the name of Jesus Christ. We are truly blessed by each one! ❤️✝️

Tomorrow we’ll hear the story of a widow who gave what appeared to some to be very little, but Jesus saw that it was so much more.
Our story comes from the New Testament Book of Mark at a time during Jesus’ life that took place at the temple in Jerusalem. At the temple, religious leaders and legal experts would ask Jesus questions about his teachings. In this story, Jesus was teaching his disciples about the relationship between leaders and experts and the Jewish people they were supposed to be serving.
In the temple court, there were collection boxes for people to give in support of the temple treasury. Jesus and the disciples were observing the ways different people contributed. Many wealthy people appeared to give a great deal, but in truth much of what they gave was just the leftovers from their opulent spending and was often given for show.
As they are watching, a widow who had very little money discreetly places two small copper coins inside a collection box. These coins appear to be such a small contribution; they amount to only a tiny fraction of a day’s wages.
However, Jesus explains to his disciples that her contribution is much more of a sacri¬fce because it is all she has to live on. Jesus explains that this kind of giving is of more value to God than the large contributions of the wealthy who could have given much more but only give what is left over after extravagant spending on themselves.
The widow’s giving shows sacrificial devotion to God. At Snowball Mountain, we alongside our Challengers are learning about giving our all for God to help people who need it––whether that is in financial support, time, or gifts. This is why we incorporate local & global mission projects each year!
God who helps us help others in challenging times, thank you for showing us how to be generous by giving of what you’ve given to us. Remind us that even in times when our contribution may seem small, what we give with a heart for God’s kingdom is big in God’s eyes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day two turned out to be cold inside and very hot outside. We learned about Queen Esther and are really starting learn our awesome VBS songs to showcase on Friday. The junior high spent some time helping pack lunches for the AGS summer lunch program. What a great outreach opportunity! Make sure to ask your kiddos about the Mission Projects and how you can help…they are definitely excited about the reward 😉
Volunteer breakfast has been so yummy each morning and a special thank you to Save A Lot in Arthur for their generous donation of snacks for VBS!
