We are deeply grateful for friends who joined us in prayer across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Especially we give thanks for Bishop Paul Erickson of the Greater Milwaukee Synod, ELCA, Bishop Martin Halom of the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin - ELCA, Bishop Katherine Finnegan of the Northern Great Lakes Synod, and our keynote speaker from our domestic companion synod, Bishop Meghan Johnston Aelabouni of the Rocky Mountain Synod, ELCA.

Bishop Anne Edison-Albright was elected to serve for a second term as bishop of the East Central Synod of Wisconsin in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Thanks be to God!

Report of the first ballot for bishop of the East Central Synod of Wisconsin. There is no election.

Those who wish to withdraw must do so by 8:00 am on Friday, June 5th. Those in person may do so for 30 minutes following Plenary 2 and again in the morning between 7:30-8:00 am at the table in back of the assembly hall. Those not present in this assembly will be contacted by phone by members of the Bishop Election Committee.

We are grateful for the prayers of partners, synods, and hold in our prayers bishop elections taking place in other synods. Come, Holy Spirit!

Plenary 1 begins at 3:45 pm where we will cast the ecclesiastical ballot.

Plenary 2 begins at 7:30, where we expect to hear results of the first ballot for bishop.

As we move into the final days of assembly preparation, our Office of the Bishop staff is heads-down making sure everything is in place for a meaningful gathering. We ask for your patience and grace.

Response times to emails and phone calls may be slower than usual in the days leading up to and during June 4-6th. This is not because your question does not matter. It absolutely does. It is because our small and dedicated team supported by amazing volunteers is giving everything they have to making this assembly possible for all of us.
