Join us for worship!
Sunday Morning at 9am

God calls us to be spiritual first responders when we see people in trouble because of sin. Instead of the expected path of self-preservation and comfort, we choose service to them and to our Lord. We can speak those words of Genesis 4:9 with faithful affirmation: “I am my brother’s keeper.”

Our preschoolers finished week two! We love having our young students, their families, and our preschool staff on campus. ❤️

Here's the Wee Love Learning Center update from the beginning of their school year: "The Wee Love 2026-2027 school year kicked off on Wednesday [August 26] this past week. We had a wonderful start to our year and are looking forward to getting to know all of the children better and watching them grow. We spent our week learning about our learning areas and all of the things that help our classroom be a safe place for everyone. Week two, here we come!"

Wow, two weeks down and gone already! Time is flying and we are just getting started. Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone.

Americans may be familiar with the concept expounded in the Declaration of Independence that certain truths are “self-evident.” Christians note that the most important truths revealed in the Bible actually are not self-evident at all! They may appear surprising or beyond our reason and expectation. We’re encountering several UNEXPECTED TRUTHS in this series including August 30/31.

Some might expect that if a person follows God, God responds by granting prosperity and peace. Today we see how that is nonsense. The Bible explains that if we are part of the Church of God, we will have bear crosses. This is the unexpected path, the one Jesus himself walked: the cross comes before the crown.

In the Gospel, Jesus asked, “Who do you say that I am?” (Mt. 16:15) It’s the most important question in the world, and it is a question every human being must answer. The expected answer may be dead wrong.

Today plenty of people believe that Jesus existed. They think that Jesus was a wise teacher or a role model for love. Both answers are expected. Both miss the main point. Jesus is a real human being, the Son of Man. He is also Lord and Savior, the Son of the living God. This unexpected truth is the core of saving faith.

We were blessed to welcome our community into our doors this Tuesday.

We ask the Lord to bless our leaders - all officials who serve us in state, county, and local governments, members of congress, and our president. Impress on them the sacredness of the responsibility you have placed on them. Give them the gifts required for leadership. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Christians Bring Our Doubts to Jesus
Join us for worship!
Sunday Morning at 9am
Monday Evening at 6:30pm

Wherever faith clings to the promises of God, doubt is always lingering. The true answer to doubt is found in the still small voice of our Savior God whispering to us in his Word. Through Word and sacrament, Christ reaches out to us with nail-scarred hands, proof of his great love. Jesus gently says, “Why did you doubt?” Our faith is restored.
