Ansonia friends, if you are wondering what happens next to our location, a beautiful community of Christ worshipers are moving thier weekend services to the building starting tomorrow. Check them out if the Lord stirs your heart to join them.

Dear Friends,

After much prayer and reflection, the Darke County Anglican Church has closed its doors. Though we did not find a flock gathering in this season, we are deeply grateful for the past two yearsโ€”years filled with friendship, worship, and the quiet work of God in our midst.

Thank you to everyone in the community who supported, encouraged, and prayed for us along the way. Your kindness has meant more than we can say.

If you have any questions or would like to talk more about this next chapter, please feel free to reach out.

โ€” Fr. Andrew Costa

We see you. We know that walking into church with a baby on your hip or a toddler tugging your sleeve can feel daunting. You worry about the noise, the wiggles, the unexpected outbursts. You wonder if youโ€™ll be a distraction. You wonder if you belong.

But hear this: ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฐ.

At our church, the sounds of children are not interruptions, theyโ€™re signs of life. Their giggles, their cries, their curious questions remind us that the Body of Christ is growing, breathing, and beautifully diverse. We cherish their presence.

You donโ€™t have to send them away. You donโ€™t have to apologize. You are welcome as you are, and so are they.

So bring your babies. Bring your littles. Let them stay beside you. Let them see you worship. Let them hear the Word. Let them be part of the Body of Christ.

Because a church that welcomes children is a church that welcomes Christ.

You are not a disruption. You are a blessing. And weโ€™re saving a seat for you.

At the core of Anglican theology is a beautifully balanced framework often called the three-legged stool: Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. Itโ€™s not just a metaphor, itโ€™s a method for discerning truth, living faithfully, and engaging thoughtfully with the world.

๐—ฆ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ: The first leg is the Word of God, the foundation of our faith. Anglicans hold Scripture as the primary source of divine revelation. Itโ€™s not just read, itโ€™s prayed, preached, and lived. But we donโ€™t read it in isolationโ€ฆ

๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป: The second leg is the wisdom of the Church through the ages. From the early Church Fathers to the creeds, liturgies, and practices handed down, Tradition helps us interpret Scripture faithfully and stay rooted in the historic Christian community.

๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป: The third leg is our God-given intellect. Reason allows us to wrestle with Scripture and Tradition in light of our experiences, science, and moral insight. Itโ€™s not about cold logic, itโ€™s about thoughtful engagement, asking: โ€œWhat does this mean for us today?โ€

Together, these three uphold Anglican theology like a sturdy stool, each leg essential, each supporting the others. Lean too heavily on one and the balance tips. But when held together, they offer a dynamic, living faith thatโ€™s both ancient and responsive.

If this kind of faith sounds like something youโ€™d like to experience, not just read about, why not try visiting an Anglican church near you?

You donโ€™t need to know the prayers or the hymns. Just come as you are. Sit, listen, wonder. You will find a community that welcomes your questions, honors your story, and invites you into something deeper.

Faith doesnโ€™t have to be rigid or confusing. Sometimes, it just needs a seat at the table and maybe a three-legged stool to rest on.

What if hope wasnโ€™t just a feeling but a Person? What if love wasnโ€™t just an idea but a sacrifice? What if peace wasnโ€™t just a dream but a promise?

The Gospel is more than a message, itโ€™s the heartbeat of heaven breaking into our world. Jesus came not to condemn but to restore, to seek, to save; to bring light into every shadow.

This week, letโ€™s lean into that call. Whether itโ€™s a kind word, a shared meal, a prayer whispered over a neighbor, every act of love is a seed of Good News.

Letโ€™s be a community that carries the Gospel not just in our mouths but in our lives. You are invited. You are loved. You are part of the story.

In the Anglican tradition, beauty is more than aesthetics, itโ€™s theology in form and sound. From the intricate stonework of centuries-old cathedrals to the ethereal harmonies of choral evensong, Anglicanism has cultivated an artistic and musical heritage that speaks to the soul and lifts the heart toward God.

This isnโ€™t beauty for beautyโ€™s sake. Itโ€™s a deliberate offering, an echo of the Incarnation, where the divine meets the material. The architecture draws our gaze upward, reminding us of heavenโ€™s grandeur. The music, often rooted in Scripture and prayer, envelops us in sacred rhythm, inviting contemplation and awe.

Whether itโ€™s the poetic cadence of the Book of Common Prayer, the stained glass storytelling of saints and symbols or the quiet dignity of vestments and liturgical art, Anglican worship is a tapestry woven with reverence, creativity, and deep spiritual meaning.

In this tradition, beauty becomes a form of prayer. It teaches us that God is not only truth and goodness but also glory.

Many signs and wonders were being done among the people through the hands of the apostles. They were all together in Solomonโ€™s Colonnade. No one else dared to join them, but the people spoke well of them. Believers were added to the Lord in increasing numbersโ€”multitudes of both men and women. As a result, they would carry the sick out into the streets and lay them on cots and mats so that when Peter came by, at least his shadow might fall on some of them. In addition, a multitude came together from the towns surrounding Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

Then a dispute also arose among them about who should be considered the greatest. But he said to them, โ€œThe kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who have authority over them have themselves called[a] โ€˜Benefactors.โ€™ It is not to be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever is greatest among you should become like the youngest, and whoever leads, like the one serving. For who is greater, the one at the table or the one serving? Isnโ€™t it the one at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves. You are those who stood by me in my trials. I bestow on you a kingdom, just as my Father bestowed one on me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom. And you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Despite centuries of theological debate, most Anglicans today affirm the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist not as mere symbol, nor through transubstantiation, but as a true, spiritual, and sacramental presence wrapped in mystery. This view holds that the bread and wine become means of grace to those who receive them in faith, through the work of the Holy Spirit. In keeping with this theology, Anglican practice affirms Communion in both kinds, offering both bread and wine to all baptized Christians of the congregation, not reserving the chalice for clergy alone. This reflects the fullness of Christโ€™s gift and the shared dignity of the Body of Christ. It honors both the sacredness of the sacrament and the personal nature of divine encounter.

Jesus didnโ€™t just come for those who appear to have it all together. He came for all of us, for the weary, the uncertain, the hurting. For the ones who feel like theyโ€™re barely holding on.

And the beautiful truth? You donโ€™t need to clean yourself up or have all the answers to be welcomed by Him.

Youโ€™re invited, just as you are with your questions, your doubts, your pain, and your story. Nothing disqualifies you from His love. You donโ€™t have to hide the hard parts or ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฌ๐˜ข๐˜บ. He welcomes the real you, fully and tenderly.

Heโ€™s already moved toward you in love. The cross is proof of His compassion. The empty tomb is proof of His power to restore and renew. He is calling you.

Thereโ€™s room for you here. No pressure. No judgment. Just grace. Just rest.

If you need someone to talk to, someone to pray with, or just a quiet space to ask your questions, Iโ€™m here. And more importantly, He is.

From its earliest days, it has been shaped by thinkers, writers, and leaders who believed the Christian faith should be as intellectually honest as it is spiritually alive.

โ€ข ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ ๐—›๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ (1554โ€“1600) was one of Anglicanismโ€™s earliest and most influential theologians. Hookerโ€™s careful, measured arguments helped establish the Anglican โ€œthreefold cordโ€ approach to theology, balancing biblical truth with thoughtful engagement in a changing world.

โ€ข ๐—–.๐—ฆ. ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜€ (1898โ€“1963), the beloved author of ๐˜”๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜บ, ๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜•๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ข, and numerous works of apologetics, was an Oxford and Cambridge scholar who showed that Christianity is both rational and deeply imaginative. Lewis had a gift for communicating eternal truths in ways that stirred the mind and captured the heart, speaking to believers and skeptics alike. His writings remain a bridge for many on their journey toward faith.

โ€ข ๐—๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น โ€œ๐—.๐—œ.โ€ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ (1926โ€“2020), one of the most respected Anglican theologians of the 20th century, is best known for ๐˜’๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜Ž๐˜ฐ๐˜ฅ, a modern classic on the character of God and the believerโ€™s relationship with Him. Packer stood firmly for the authority of Scripture, the centrality of the gospel, and the riches of historic Anglican worship. His work helped countless Christians recover a deep love for Reformation theology and biblical discipleship.

And these are only a few, Anglicanism has been shaped by countless faithful thinkers, pastors, missionaries, and writers whose lives and words continue to strengthen the Church around the world.

Whether you are a lifelong believer, a quiet seeker, or simply a curious skeptic, here, your mind is taken as seriously as your soul.
