REPENTANCE: THE DOOR TO FREEDOM
This Sunday at Riverview Church, we were reminded of a truth many people avoid but every believer needs:
You cannot walk fully with Jesus while holding onto the very things He died to set you free from.
Repentance is not punishment.
Repentance is not shame.
Repentance is not God pushing you away.
Repentance is God’s invitation to come home.
When we repent, we stop making excuses, stop blaming others, and surrender every area of our lives to Christ. Real transformation begins when we agree with God and allow Him to change us from the inside out.
The world says, “Follow your heart.”
Jesus says, “Follow Me.”
The world says, “Live your truth.”
Jesus says, “I am the Truth.”
The world says, “Do what feels right.”
Jesus says, “Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me.”
Freedom is found on the other side of surrender.
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” — Acts 3:19
We are praying for hearts to be softened, chains to be broken, and lives to be transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. ⛓️‍💥
