Radiant Church started as Missio Dei in 2013, and then became Radiant Anchorage in 2016. The first Radiant Church was planted in Fairbanks in the 2008, and has since planted and partnered with several churches. By God’s grace, a generous gift was given to us - a church building. While we have been immensely blessed by our Father with a building to worship in, we still deeply desire to plant more churches throughout the North as part of the Plant Alaska organization. Radiant believes that Gospel Communities (GC's) are the primary organizing structures of the Church, and the most effective means of gospel centered discipleship. These communities are smaller (10-20 people) groups within Radiant Church who sees themselves as a family of missionaries sent by God to serve, proclaim, and demonstrate the gospel to our unbelieving world. Each group gathers together weekly. Within our GC's, we care for, encourage, and lovingly challenge one another though prayer, the sharing of meals, and pointing each other to Christ. GC's are the means through which Radiant Church connects people to community, and mobilizes people together on mission. What to Expect on a Sunday
Sunday mornings at Radiant are meant for collective worship of our Father through singing, serving, tithing, and fellowshipping with other believers. We emphasize discipleship through Godly relationships, striving for everyone to feel connected from the start. Preaching in exegetical in nature combined with biblical and systematic theology. Children's church starts when our service begins and then the children are brought upstairs for a time of worship with families at the end. Dress attire is casual, worship music is modern along with recomposed hymns, and coffee/refreshments are served downstairs before service.
