Yesterday, we had the privilege of holding a commissioning service for our former pastor Pastor Mark Appell, and his wife, Valerie, as they prepare to head to Marseille, France!
Their mission is to “reach the least reached people, helping them cultivate a relationship with Jesus and other believers, and equipping them to respect God with their lives.”
Pastor Mark shared a message from Colossians 1, reminding us of the importance of prayer, encouraging one another, making an impact in our church and community, and giving 100% of ourselves to Jesus!
We also heard from a representative from Christar, Merv Lambright, who reminded us we have a responsibility when sending out our missionaries. We need to "send well", continually pray, prepare, and support them and continuing to do that even after sending them off.
There was so much more to learn and take away from this special service and f you weren't able to join us, we hope you to take some time to watch the message. And if you were there, may it serve as a reminder of how we can continue to live out these truths in our own lives.
Please join us in praying for Mark and Valerie as they take this next step in serving the Lord and carrying out the Great Commission. We are thankful for their willingness to go and for the opportunity we have to support them along the way!
