Apple River Community Church

Apple River Community Church Sunday Worship Service is 10:30 a.m. Sunday School starts at 9:30. The church has a rich heritage, having been founded in 1888.

A congregation of people, conservative and evangelical in doctrine, who love each other and are committed to serving the LORD and their community. We believe that our LORD is at work here at ARCC and that He is building the body to enable us to accomplish the mission He has given us. Perhaps He is leading YOU to become part of what He is doing here. We are still a "work in progress" We are very

If you’ve ever wondered what it really means to be led, empowered, changed, or helped by the Holy Spirit, this is a great Sunday to come.

This Sunday, we’re looking at Acts 2 and asking: Why did God send the Holy Spirit, and what does the Holy Spirit actually do in our lives today?

Jesus said it was actually to our advantage that He would leave.

Why?

Because God was sending the Holy Spirit.

That question may be uncomfortable, but Acts 1 and 2 give us a picture of what the church was meant to be.

The early church prayed together. They depended on the Holy Spirit. They devoted themselves to God’s Word and to one another. And God used ordinary believers to turn the world upside down.

So what changed?

And maybe the harder question is: Have we changed?
