The Evangelization Workshop in Hudson, WI is open to anyone who would like to grow in confidence sharing the Gospel. Speaker, Ryan O’Hara, will once again be offering practical training on giving one’s personal testimony and praying with others—two simple but powerful ways Catholics can evangelize in everyday life.

This past July, Ani Abraham, Claire Gwiazda, Elijah Muro, and chaperone Jennifer Gwiazda had the opportunity to travel with youth from New Richmond and surrounding areas to Kansas City, Kansas, as part of the Catholic Heart Workcamp Mission Trip.

Catholic Heart Workcamp’s mission is to share the love of Christ by serving the neglected, brokenhearted, and marginalized in any way needed. Each member of our group was called to serve a different mission site—work included interior and exterior house painting, yard work, concrete repair, and helping at local thrift stores whose proceeds fund the ongoing work of Catholic Charities.

Each day began with daily Mass before heading out to work sites. Upon returning, we enjoyed a wonderful supper followed by inspiring speakers who reminded us to let our fires burn because we have been set aside for greatness! Nights ended with music by a live band that stayed with us all week.

This mission trip was a great opportunity for all of us to not only put our faith into action through service, but also to grow spiritually through prayer, reflection, and Adoration.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the members of the Catholic Lakes Cluster for supporting us on this mission both financially and through your prayers!
