MEMPHIS -- Steve Gaines, longtime pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis and a former president of the Southern Baptist Convention, died March 20 after a long battle with cancer. He was 69.

As we watch the weather forecasts and listen carefully to our local officials, it’s clear that this Sunday brings a very real risk of dangerous travel conditions. Out of an abundance of care for one another, we have decided to cancel our in-person worship service this Sunday. Your safety is important to us, and we want to make wise choices together as a church family.

That said, worship will still go on! Pastor Isaac Karpenske will be sharing God’s Word at 9:00am right here on our page, and we would love for you to join us if you are able. Even though we may be in different places, we can still gather in spirit and truth.
