Our CR INSIDE Forever Family is at it again! Thank you goes out to our team & family from Celebrate Recovery - Dupo, Illinois.
I know a group of men here at CR-Alton that consider Celebrate Recovery FPC Dupo their second home. If you are in their area...well even if you are not, you need to visit their Monday night meetings.

The Summit of Hope is a community expo, bringing
together local service providers to create a "one-stop"
environment for invited parolees and probationers to
obtain necessary assistance to move past barriers, which
may prevent an individual from leading a successful life.

The Summit of Hope is a proven Illinois Department of
Corrections and Illinois Department of Public Health
sanctioned program, independently organized in
individual communities throughout the state.

Addiction wasn’t the problem.
It was the solution.
The problem was the pain underneath it.
The rejection.
The trauma.
The loneliness.
The shame.
The anger.
The grief.
The feeling that you were never enough.
Addiction became a way to numb what hurt, escape what felt unbearable, or fill what felt empty.
That’s why recovery is about more than just stopping a behavior.

At Celebrate Recovery, we begin to uncover the hurts, hang-ups, and habits underneath it all and allow Jesus to heal what we’ve spent years trying to numb.
You don’t just need freedom from something.
You need healing from what drove you to it.
