Rising Hope Mission Church

Rising Hope Mission Church Building community with our neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty since 1996. We would love to welcome you as part of this community.

Rising Hope ministers in the name of Christ to the spiritual and practical needs of the most at-risk people on the Route 1 Corridor south of Alexandria. Our members come from all walks of life; rich and poor, housed and unhoused, gay and straight, saint and sinner! We believe that our diversity reflects the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven. Each year, hundreds of volunteers are coordinat

ed by Rising Hope to help meet the needs of our community. Examples of programs and services that we offer are:

Food distribution
Clothing and basic needs for those experiencing homelessness
Emergency assistance and referrals
Drop-in center
Gaining Identification
Transportation
Job counseling
Advocacy

Hey did you know there was a super easy way to support the work of four amazing ministries, including us?

Check out the display table of our friends at The Virginia United Methodist Foundation this conference session.

All you have to do is sign up for their email list or schedule a visit to your local community; both of which are super helpful and informative.

Once you’ve completed it, let them know you’d like them to make the gift to Rising Hope or one of the other well deserving ministries. What an easy and impactful way to be in mission together!

Hope After Hours is a place where our community can come together to share joys, concerns, prayers, and encouragement with one another. This past week, we heard so many things to be thankful for and rejoiced together in those praises. We also walked alongside each other through struggles and challenges, reminding one another that no one has to carry burdens alone.

Time is running out to sign up for Rising Hope’s Annual Golf Tournament! ⛳ Only a couple team spots remain, and you do not want to miss this incredible day of fun, fellowship, and community next Monday, May 18.

Whether you’re an avid golfer ready to show off your skills, looking to join a team to support Rising Hope, or simply want to spend time outdoors with friends, this is a great way to make a difference while having a great time.

Every swing helps support our neighbors along Route 1 and assists men and women of all ages who are working to overcome poverty.
