Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett says her initial response to the news that Dolly Parton had passed on Aug. 25 was sadness. "However, as the news has sunk in and I’ve reflected on her life, the sadness has turned to gratitude. I am grateful for who she was and all the good she did."

We are so grateful for First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge, TN newest ministry, Shear Love! ✂️ This ministry provides haircuts to our First Recovery friends each week before our speaker meeting. Thanks be to God for those faithful people who say yes to God's calling.

Our hearts are broken for our friends and family connected to Milligan. Please pray for them and the people who are devastated by this East Tennessee tragedy.

We are profoundly shocked and saddened to share that members of our cycling team were in an accident involving a vehicle this morning while cycling in Hampton, TN. Sophomores Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers were killed in this accident. Multiple other Milligan cyclists were also seriously injured and are currently receiving treatment at the Johnson City Medical Center. There are no words to adequately describe this level of loss. Our prayers are with all those impacted by this tragedy. Please keep the Milligan community in your prayers.
