HI all!
I know. I know. It’s been a minute, but here we are now. Life happens and in these circumstances, we typically find out who our friends are.

Healing requires a lot of change. Many times, we find some ties must be severed, these are people, places, or things that would normally weigh us down. We can’t shift our course if the anchor is still in control. It’s not a favorable outcome if we choose to stay in the shallow end. It’s time to release the anchor and make our way to destinations not yet known to us!

Remember, not everyone will enjoy the journey so allow them to jump ship if they want to, but be careful or they will try to drag you under with them.

Love y’all, but God loves you soooo much more!

The holiday season is upon us, this means triggers and people are just lining up to watch you fail. What if I told you, just because it’s a tradition doesn’t make it a requirement?

That’s right! You do NOT have to attend a gathering if it interferes with your recovery!

Family drama is a HUGE trigger for some folks, so:
- If you want to skip those holiday meals, do it.
- If you want to participate, do it.

This is YOUR road to recovery and it’s up to YOU to stay on it. Some folks may get angry if you choose not to participate - let them. Their toxicity is probably the very trigger you’re needing to stay away from anyway.

Cook your own turkey and/or ham, surround yourself with people who are rooting for you, and start a new tradition that encourage the new you!

It’s often said that we are never satisfied and it’s true.

If I had more money, I’d be satisfied.
If I had curly hair, I’d be satisfied.
If I had a bigger house, I’d be satisfied.
The list goes on and on.

If we had all of these, we’d only incur more expenses, tangles, chores, and a desire to go back to “when life was simpler”.

I woke up singing this song today. What if we are never satisfied because we are chasing after things?! What would happen if we focused more on the Provider than on what can be provided?! You see, we don’t have to chase Him, because He isn’t running! It’s He who is chasing us. WE are running always running.

Take some time today to stop running from the only One who can satisfy us. Turn around and run TO Him!
