First Sunday in September — Communion Sunday! 🍞

“What Is the Lamb?”
📖 Scripture: Exodus 12:26–27 & 1 Corinthians 5:7

What a blessed First Sunday we experienced at First Baptist Church! We should be reminded of the significance of the Lamb and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, our Passover Lamb.

God has been multiplying our flock and expanding our church family, and for that, we give Him all the glory!

FBC is excited to welcome:

🌸 Barbara “Faye” Jeffery, who has decided to move her membership back “home.”

🌸 Chassity Blackmon, who has decided to rejoin our church family.

🌸 QuinXarious Jeffery, who has decided to rejoin FBC and was baptized again this Sunday morning.

We are truly grateful to God for each of them and the decision they have made to reconnect with the body of Christ. We look forward to loving, encouraging, praying for, and assisting each of them as they continue their spiritual journey.

God is still adding to the flock! 🐑❤️

We are very excited to invite you to First Baptist Church of Akron’s Annual Men & Women’s Day!

This year’s celebration is extra special as our ministries, members, and committee are all working together to make this a beautiful afternoon of worship, fellowship, and celebration.

The theme, “Kingdom Men & Kingdom Women: Standing Strong Together” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10, truly reflects what this day is all about: different ministries, different gifts, and many helping hands, all working toward one mission as one body in Christ.

We are honored to welcome Rev. Samuel Ezell of Friendship Baptist Church as our guest minister.
