What a blessing it has been to attend Days 1 and 2 of the Alabama State Missionary Baptist Convention 140th Annual Women’s Auxiliary Session! We truly enjoyed the fellowship, worship, learning, and time spent together with brothers and sisters from across Alabama.

Throughout the sessions, we were reminded of the rich history and legacy of our missionaries, the importance of continuing the work, and our responsibility to carry that mission forward. The presentations challenged us, encouraged us, and helped renew our commitment to serving God and others.

One of the greatest takeaways has been seeing the strength that comes from unity. As churches and auxiliaries from across the state gather with one purpose, we saw that we can accomplish so much more when we work together for the Kingdom.

Most importantly, we thank God for allowing us to be a part of this experience. We safely returned home inspired, encouraged, and even more dedicated to advancing His Kingdom through faith, love, and hope.

Last week, FBC had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Community Vacation Bible School, hosted by Saint Paul CME Church. Each evening began with a devotion that set the tone for worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Following devotion, participants of all ages gathered in their designated classrooms to engage in meaningful discussions and activities centered around the day’s Bible lesson.

Vacation Bible School was much more than a traditional classroom experience. Participants enjoyed a variety of enriching activities, including arts and crafts, music, and interactive learning opportunities that helped bring the lessons to life. These activities encouraged creativity, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of God’s Word.

In addition to the spiritual and educational experiences, a delicious dinner was prepared and served each night, providing a wonderful time for fellowship and community building among attendees.

The week was filled with learning, laughter, and lasting memories as churches and families came together in faith. We are grateful to Saint Paul CME Church for hosting such a meaningful event and for the opportunity to share in this special experience. Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating the accomplishments of our amazing students and graduates. We recognized all students who received academic honors, earned scholarships, graduated from high school, college, and successfully advanced to the next grade level. Each recognition represents dedication, perseverance, growth, and countless hours of hard work.
We are incredibly proud of every student. Whether they’re re heading off to college, beginning a new school year, pursuing a career path, or taking the next step, their achievements deserve to be celebrated.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the parents, guardians, family members, teachers, administrators, and support staff who have encouraged, guided, and invested in these students along the way. Your commitment, sacrifices, and belief in them have helped make these accomplishments possible.
As our graduates and students begin this next chapter, we pray that they move forward with confidence in knowing that great opportunities lie ahead.

FBC extends our sincerest condolences to Sis. Demetra Rollins on the passing of her beloved father, Mr. Winston Rutley.

Funeral service will be Saturday May 30th at 11am (viewing Friday at 1pm) at Washington & Paige 17745 AL-25, Greensboro, AL. Colors are Crimson and Black. Burial is at Harris Family Cemetery and repast immediately following the burial at The Soup Kitchen Suite A 16465 Al highway 14, Sawyerville, AL 36776.
