It was a great and glorious Homecoming Day as we welcomed back home our beloved Letha and Brother Grant Parker. It felt like a great big family reunion- a foretaste of heaven divine- as we sang, prayed, reminisced, laughed, cried, ate, hugged, fellowshipped, and worshipped our Lord and Savior together.
Letha’s message to us focused on the story of Moses, who diligently and constantly taught his people to always REMEMBER and not forget what the Lord had done. Likewise, we are to remain faithful to the gospel and always REMEMBER to keep our eyes on our future hope. She exhorted us to be intentional to teach and impress upon our children and future generations about God and His love and plans and purpose for us.
Thanks be to our Father for his Spirit weaving this message on Letha’s heart to share with us.
We also remembered and had a time of prayer for two of our saints who have gone before us this year: Carolyn Bailey Payne on 01-10-26 and Timothy Ray Lolley on 03-26-26.
The pews were filled, our tables overflowed with abundance, and our hearts were filled with joy and thanksgiving to God for his goodness and provision for this special day and time of remembrance together. Until next year!
Deuteronomy 32:7
“Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders and they will explain to you.”
