A Special Evening with Holocaust Survivor Dr. Irene Miller
—Holocaust survivor, author, speaker, and educator.
Dr. Miller will take us on a survival journey few have heard. As a child, she slept beneath the winter sky in no man's land, endured a Siberian labor camp, suffered hunger and malaria in Uzbekistan, and spent years in orphanages. Yet out of these experiences emerged a woman whose life is characterized by accomplishment, joy, and a desire to share her story with others. Her story is one of courage, determination, perseverance, and the power of the human spirit.
Dr. Miller is the author of Into No Man's Land: A Historical Memoir, published by the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Her story has taken her before audiences across the United States and Canada, including schools, universities, professional conferences, military groups, churches, and NASA Space Center. Her memoir is also used in schools as required reading in history and English classes.
This is a special opportunity to hear the testimony of a Holocaust survivor in person and to ensure that her story is carried forward to another generation.
