🚢🌈 SUNDAY SCHOOL RECAP: NOAH! 🌈🚢

Our Addis Kidz had a wonderful time learning about Noah and the Great Flood this Sunday! 📖💙

The kids learned that Noah trusted and obeyed God, even when what God asked him to do probably didn’t make sense to everyone around him. Noah’s faith reminds us that we can **trust God, follow His instructions, and stand firm in our faith—even when we’re different from the world around us.**

🦒🐘 From the animals to the ark, our kids had so much fun learning this incredible Bible story!

Our big takeaway:
When God asks us to do something, we can trust Him and obey—even when we don’t understand the whole plan.

We love watching our Addis Kidz grow in their knowledge of God and His Word! ❤️📖

💛What We Learned in Addis Kidz Today! 💛

Today in Addis Kidz, our kids learned the story of Cain and Abel and a very important lesson about what God sees—not just our actions, but our hearts. ❤️

We talked about how jealousy, anger, and comparison can grow in our hearts when we don't surrender those feelings to God. Cain had a choice in how he responded to his emotions, and God warned him that sin was “crouching at the door.”

Our kids learned that:
✨ We don't have to compare ourselves to others.
✨ We can bring our anger and jealousy to God.
✨ We are responsible for how we treat others.
✨ God cares about the condition of our hearts.
✨ We should celebrate others instead of competing with them.

Most importantly, we want our kids to know that when we feel angry, jealous, or overlooked, we can choose God's way and ask Him to help us have a heart that honors Him.

What a powerful lesson for kids—and honestly, for all of us! 💛

🌎✨ Sunday School Recap: In the Beginning…✨🌎

This Sunday in Sunday School, we went all the way back to the beginning! 📖🌿
We learned about the creation of Adam and Eve and the beautiful truth that God created each of us intentionally and with purpose.

From the very beginning, God showed us that humanity is special. We were created in His image—uniquely designed to reflect His love, creativity, compassion, and character. ❤️

We talked about how God formed Adam from the dust and breathed life into him, then created Eve and gave them a place, a purpose, and relationships. Before sin entered the world, God's creation was good and perfect.

One of the biggest reminders from our lesson was this: our worth comes from our Creator, not from what the world says about us.🙌

Just as God had a purpose for Adam and Eve, He has a purpose for each one of us!

📖 “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” — Genesis 1:27

What a beautiful reminder to start our week: We are created by God, loved by God, and created with purpose!💛

🎉 Promotion Sunday 🎉

Today was a bittersweet day at Addis Kidz as we celebrated Promotion Sunday! Watching these kids grow in their faith and into the young men and women God is calling them to be is one of the greatest blessings.

Today we said goodbye to our amazing group of now middle schoolers. While we’ll miss seeing their smiling faces in Kids Church each week, we are so excited to watch them continue their walk with Christ in the next chapter.

To all of our promoted students—remember that no matter where you go, God has incredible plans for your life. Keep seeking Him, keep asking questions, and keep letting your light shine. ✨

To our parents, thank you for trusting us to partner with you in laying a biblical foundation in your children’s lives. It has truly been an honor.

Congratulations to all of our kiddos who moved up today! We can’t wait to see what God has in store for each of you. ❤️

We take serving in ministry pretty seriously around here.

In our children’s ministry, our volunteers typically serve only once a month — occasionally twice — because we believe it is important for our team to also be able to attend service, grow spiritually, and prepare their hearts before serving others. These children are not just “the next generation” — they are a huge part of the church today and the future of the church tomorrow.

We strive to build a team of top-notch, Christ-loving volunteers who are passionate about meeting the biblical and spiritual needs of every child who walks through our doors.

Each Sunday, our Children’s Director teaches a 15-minute sermon before children rotate into age-based groups. From there, kids rotate through:
✨ A craft rotation that reflects the sermon
✨ Connect & snack time where children answer questions and build connections through biblical conversations
✨ Bible rotation where children learn and memorize the books of the Bible and how to navigate God’s Word

Our heart is to create a ministry where children are seen, loved, discipled, and excited to learn about Jesus — all while parents are able to have their own cups filled during service as well.

If you are looking for a kids ministry that pours into your child spiritually while you worship and grow in service, we would absolutely love to have you join us each Sunday!

Tonight in Kidz Church we dove into Genesis 37 and learned all about Joseph and his coat of many colors! We talked about how God has given each of us special talents and gifts, and that we should never be jealous of someone else’s talents because God created every one of us with a unique purpose and blessing. 🌈✨

We even took snack time to another level by creating our very own “coats of many colors!” The kids had so much fun getting creative while being reminded that God made each of them wonderfully unique. ❤️

Now that we are all well rested, we are officially back to our regular Wednesday night Bible study! ✨

Before we move on, let’s take a moment to appreciate everyone behind such a successful VBS week! Neon Nights was truly a glowing good time! 💡🌟

Our boys and girls raised an amazing $1,119.51 for our friends at The Jungle Hospital in Honduras! This donation will help provide school supplies, medical needs, and so much more. What a blessing! ❤️

Thank you to all of the parents who brought your children each night and helped them dress for all of our fun theme nights. Hearing the kids say, “This was the best night ever!” made it all so worth it. 🥹

And a HUGE thank you to our incredible VBS serve team who showed up every single night with smiles on their faces and hearts ready to serve. Your love, dedication, and hard work made this week possible!
