Jude is concerned because “the faith”—the Christian message of the gospel—is under attack from false teachers, wicked societies and those who seek to undermine and erode it. The Greek word Jude chose translated as “contend earnestly,” usually describes an athlete striving with extreme intensity to win the victory in a physical competition. “fight strenuously for [the defense of] the faith.”

Ingredients to Contending Faith

#1. Build yourself up in the faith. Jude 1:20
#2. Pray in the Holy Spirit Jude 1:20
#3. Keep yourself in God's love Jude 1:21
#4. Wait with hope Jude 1:21

Come out this Saturday for the 5th Annual River Church Car, Truck & Jeep Show. All vehicles are welcome. We have categories for Cars, Trucks, Jeeps, and Bikes. Entry fee for all vehicles is $20. There will be trophies for the winners.

Admission is free to the public. We will be free hotdogs, give-aways and a mini farm for everyone to enjoy. So join us for this family friendly event!
