“Why Do We Exist?”
To preach the gospel and to win the lost.
To teach God’s word so the people may:
-Increase in His knowledge
-Understand the principles of His Kingdom,
-Honor Him by walking in the purpose of His will for their lives
-Receive deliverance
To be a light to those in darkness, a testament of His goodness,
and bear witness to the name of Jesus Christ. To disciple believers,
equip the saints for the work of ministry, and to develop those
who are called to do ministry.

“A Mother”
A term of honor and a God given role to Embrace which supersedes A Call to be:
A Prophetess, A Pastor, A Minister, or A Missionary

We live in a time when the relevance of the term and the role of “A Mother” as a nurturer and intercessor is less embraced than that of a call to a ministry office or career. The Bible highlights two instances where women embraced the role of being known as a nurturer and intercessor more than being known for their ministry office or leadership position. Most of us are familiar with the story of Deborah in the Book of Judges the 4th chapter. She was A Prophetess and at that time the Intervening Judge of Israel in the absence of Barak. But in Judges the 5th chapter and the 7th verse Deborah acknowledges herself as “A Mother” of Israel, who had to awake and intercede, nurture, and encourage the leaders. The second story in the Bible doesn’t reveal the name of the woman but it is found in the Book of 2nd Samuel the 20th chapter. When closely examining the scriptures in this chapter we can presume this woman was one of the leaders in the City of Abel. It was by her wise counsel and intercession as A Mother she prevented the city (her children) and her own life from being destroyed.

On this Mother’s Day let us honor the women who still embrace their God given role as
“A Mother”

A Very Happy Mother’s Day to You All!

What Assurance the Resurrection of Jesus Christ Gives?

Here’s what the scriptures tells us in the Book of Acts 17:30-31:

30 Truly, these (the) times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to REPENT, 31 because He has appointed a DAY on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man (Jesus) whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising (resurrecting) Him (Jesus) from the dead.”

No more time for ignorance. Repent and receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord!

What An Extremely Impressive BLESSING!

Let us ponder the following scripture as we approach the sacred day of observing the Resurrection of Christ

Acts 3:26
“…God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to BLESS you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

Always Have An Attitude of Gratefulness

We should never give place in our life for complaining and murmuring for what we don’t have. This behavior leads to an attitude of ungratefulness which was the very thing that provoked God to anger with the children of Israel. They constantly complained and murmured about what they didn’t have to point they didn’t express any gratitude nor demonstrate any appreciation for what blessings they did have. For this reason, a generation of people didn’t go over into the promise land that was flowing with the blessings of God. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Jesus demonstrates to us in the gospels how we should give thanks to God for what we have and not to say one word about not having enough. In the instance when there were 5000 plus people to feed Jesus told the disciples to give them food to eat. But they said the money we have is not enough to buy food to feed so great a multitude. Jesus asked the question, how much food do we have in our midst? They said only five loaves and two fish. Jesus instructed His disciples to have the people sit, which is to get in a posture of reverence for what is about to take place. Jesus took the bread and fish and looked toward heaven as to say, Father, I thank you for the food we have among us, then He blessed it to meet the needs of the people. And when all were fed and done there were baskets of bread left over.

God loves it when we show appreciation and give thanks for what we have and not complain about what we don’t have. It is the attitude of being ungrateful for what you have and thinking you are entitled for more that prevents the hand of God from blessing you with more. Let us always remember to have a heart filled with gratitude not only on this day but every day of our lives. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
