Sermon Reflections
| On the Third Day He Rose Again • 1 Corinthians 15:3-5

Opening/Icebreaker
• If you could have personally witnessed one event in the life of Jesus, which event would you choose and why?

Discussion Questions
• Paul says, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile” (1 Corinthians 15:17). Why do you think the bodily resurrection of Jesus is so essential to the Christian faith? What would Christianity become if Jesus had died but never risen?
• Paul says that because Christ is risen, we can “live a new life” (Romans 6:4). Where would you most like to see more of Christ’s resurrection life in you at this stage of your life? Perhaps in forgiveness, freedom from shame, relationships, habits, priorities, or your need for approval and recognition?

Sermon Reflections
| He Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was Crucified, Died, and was Buried • Isaiah 53:3-9

1. How does knowing that Jesus entered fully into human suffering and understands your weaknesses help you face your own suffering with faith and hope?
2. How does the crucifixion of Christ shape your understanding and response towards sin?
3. How might you become complacent about Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for you, and what can help you respond to it with renewed gratitude and obedience?
