The mission is growing... but where are the disciples?

Am I ready:
- When following Jesus costs me something?
- When Jesus interrupts my priorities?
- When following Jesus means no turning back?

Jesus did not turn back. Will I?

Matthew Ong serves with Serving In Mission (SIM) in Mongolia. He began serving there in 2022. With a background in Special Education, Matthew has previously served in GPC among children, the elderly, and through the Boys’ Brigade. Through these experiences, God has shaped in him a heart to care for people who are often overlooked or forgotten.

AUGUST 2 - 145th Anniversary Mission: Be the Church that Glorifies God.

The anniversary is not just a time for review and counting the Lord's blessings.
We must grow:
1) From a Caregiving to a Serving Church
2) From an Activity-oriented Church to a Discipleship-oriented Church
3) From a Spectator Church to a Participatory Church

Today's celebration is also a turning point for the church to continue its growth. We cannot stay stuck in the caregiving, activity-driven, or spectator models.

Rt Rev. Caleb Soo graduated from Southeast Asia Bible Seminary in Indonesia in 1981, earned a Master of Theology through Trinity Theological College in Singapore, and completed a Doctorate in Religious Science at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan.

His ministry has spanned evangelism, pastoral leadership, and theological education. He is currently serving as the Synod Moderator of the Presbyterian Church.

Glory Presbyterian Church celebrates 145th anniversary !

Generations havecome and gone. But ambassadors of the gospel remain !

God’s faithfulness has been evident throughout GPC’s journey. Through every season of growth, change, and challenge, He has graciously guided and sustained His Church.

With grateful hearts and renewed hope, we continue to pursue our vision of becoming “A Christ-like Community Prepared for His Return.” Strengthened by His grace, we remain committed to worship, nurture, care, and witness for Christ until He comes again.

To God alone be all glory, honour, and praise!

He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes. (Deuteronomy 10:21 )
