1,000 Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva Sacred Images — A Gift of Dharma Affinity

The Sutra of the Fundamental Vows of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva speaks on numerous occasions of the extraordinary merits arising from making, venerating, and making offerings to sacred images of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Creating a sacred image is not merely an act of adorning the Buddha’s teachings and forming wholesome affinities. More importantly, it is an opportunity to recollect the Bodhisattva’s great compassionate vows with a pure and reverent heart, to practise in accordance with the Dharma, to refrain from unwholesome deeds and cultivate all that is good, and to dedicate the merits of our practice to all sentient beings.

In conjunction with the Ullambana season of filial gratitude and remembrance, a generous benefactor has compassionately sponsored the casting of 1,000 miniature sacred images of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva, to be offered freely to devotees as a gift of Dharma affinity.

These beautifully crafted Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva lockets may be respectfully worn or placed in your vehicle, on your office desk, or in a clean and appropriate place. May they serve as a constant reminder of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva’s boundless compassion and great vows, inspiring us to cultivate the Bodhi path diligently and to grow in wisdom and merit.

May we be embraced by the compassionate light of the Triple Gem and supported by the Dharma Protectors and celestial guardians, so that our journeys may be safe, our endeavours smooth, and all circumstances auspicious.

《地藏菩薩本願經》中多處讚歎造立、瞻禮、供養地藏菩薩聖像的殊勝功德。造像不僅是莊嚴佛土、廣結善緣，更重要的是以清淨恭敬之心憶念菩薩的慈悲大願，依教奉行，諸惡莫作、眾善奉行，並將所修一切功德迴向法界眾生，同霑法益。
