Yio Chu Kang Chapel

Yio Chu Kang Chapel Yio Chu Kang Chapel is an intentional disciplemaking church with a Brethren heritage in Singapore. We welcome you to join us!

Founded in 1954, our Mission is to glorify God by living the gospel and making disciples to reach the world for Christ! YCK Chapel is a church dedicated to worshipping God and providing a warm community for people to seek God and develop a living and active faith. We are a disciple-making church that seeks to be authentic, intentional and missional. You will find a good multi-generational mixture

of elderly, adults, youths and children. We have members who have worshipped with us since the church was founded, and members who grew up with each other. There are also many newcomers who have grown to become a part of us. If you are looking for a church in the neighbourhood of Yio Chu Kang, Serangoon North, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, Poh Huat, Rosyth, Serangoon Gardens and Buangkok/Sengkang, we hope you will check us out. We are big enough to provide you a rich community experience and small enough to not let you get lost in the crowd.

Guilt is not your enemy—sin is. 🚨

Just like physical pain warns us when something is wrong with our body, a guilty conscience is God’s warning light pointing us toward spiritual healing and cleansing. Don't ignore the warning light!

Can there be such a thing as private faith in a secular public space? 🤔

Scripture reminds us in Romans 12:2 that true faith changes everything—our values, our mindsets, and our actions. Transformed believing naturally leads to transformed living, both in private and in public.

What is your social media feed whispering to you? 💭

It’s easy to ask, "Is this content sinful?" but the deeper question is: "What is this content doing to me?"

Social media doesn't just pass along information—it shapes what we view as desirable, valuable, and worthy. The subtle temptation today isn't always to reject God outright, but to constantly feel like we aren't enough—that we need to prove our worth, achieve more success, or gain more admiration.

Jesus didn't need to prove what God had already declared about His identity. Let's tune our hearts to the Father's voice, not the voice of the algorithm.

"We want healing, but we keep protecting the wound."

Elder Kiat Hoe shared an example of how his severe internal knee injury required him to stop protecting the wound and let the surgeon open it up for complete repair.

Spiritual healing works the exact same way. We can’t resist the enemy while still wrestling with God. Real breakthrough comes when we surrender what we’re trying to manage on our own and let God take His rightful place in our hearts.

What is one area you need to stop protecting and start surrendering today?

🙌Praise the Lord for the many brothers and sisters in Christ who gathered at YCKC on 7 Aug for a time of worship and prayer at Day of His Power (DOHP) 2026!

🙏This was the first year that YCKC hosted DOHP, joining 31 other churches across Singapore for a special time of intercession for Singapore to turn Godward, our youth to encounter Jesus, and our nation to be a blessing to the nations! 🇸🇬🌏

Before you were even formed, you were known. 🤍

In Jeremiah 1, God reminds us that His knowledge of us isn’t based on what we do or how far we’ve come—it starts before we were even born. Before you knew anything, God knew you.

When you step into your purpose as a messenger of His love, remember that you carry a message from a God who knows you inside and out.

✨ Verse to meditate on today: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." — Jeremiah 1:5
