I BROUGHT YOUR PRAYERS and INTENTIONS BEFORE THE LORD.

JUST to LET YOU KNOW
To all the followers, subscribers, and generous donors of this Page, I want you to know that during my visits to different pilgrimage churches and sacred places in my home province of Albay and other parts of the Bicol Region, I brought your prayers and intentions before the Lord.

I read many of your comments and messages, and I know that behind them are prayers, hopes, struggles, thanksgiving, and intentions that you carry in your hearts. Rest assured that I remembered you and entrusted your intentions to the Lord during these visits.

FAMILY TRADITION
Visiting churches and places of pilgrimage has been a tradition in my family for many years. This practice was deeply instilled in me by my grandparents on my mother’s side, who were already doing this even before I was born. I was told that even while I was still in my mother’s womb, and later as a newborn and a young child, I was brought to these churches and sacred places.

Through my years in the seminary and now throughout my priestly life, I have continued this practice every year.

MY DEVOTION KEPT ME GOING
Looking back, I believe this simple practice of pilgrimage and prayer has helped me greatly in my vocation and in deepening my faith in the Lord.

I know that I am not perfect and that I have my own weaknesses and shortcomings. Yet, despite who I am, the Lord has always been patient and understanding with me. Through the years, I have experienced His mercy and unconditional love in so many ways.

I also believe that this practice of prayer has helped sustain me in the mission of this page - to share faith, hope, and love, and in my own little way, to bring people closer to the Lord.

As my vacation comes to an end, my prayer for all of you is that may the Lord grant your intentions according to His loving will. But most of all, may He increase the faith, hope, and love in your hearts.

Today, September 3, 2026, on the Feast of Saint Gregory the Great, I had the privilege of joining the Concelebrated Mass at 5:30 PM at the Cathedral of Saint Gregory the Great, Diocese of Legazpi, Philippines.

The celebration was especially meaningful for three reasons:

First, we celebrated the Fiesta Mass of the Cathedral in honor of its patron, Saint Gregory the Great.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Most Rev. Jose Alan V. Dialogo, D.D., Bishop of Sorsogon, together with Rev. Fr. Lyndon Balubar, Parish Priest of the Cathedral, and the concelebrating priests.

Second, we commemorated the 75th Foundation Anniversary of the Cathedral of Saint Gregory the Great, Diocese of Legazpi - 75 years of faith, mission, and service to the people of God.

Third, the Cathedral gave a special Tribute of Gratitude to priests whose vocations came from families and communities within the parish territory of the Cathedral. It was a beautiful way of honoring those who have offered their lives to God in the priesthood and in the service of His people.

Their vocations are also among the many fruits of the Cathedral’s mission and faith formation throughout the past 75 years.

This celebration is very personal and meaningful to me because I have been a parishioner of this Cathedral from birth until today.

The Cathedral has played an important part in my faith formation and, eventually, in my vocation to the priesthood. Growing up, this was where I regularly attended Mass and participated in various spiritual and parish activities.

Happy Fiesta and Happy 75th Foundation Anniversary!
