But what if suffering isn’t just something we have to survive?

In Talk 2 of our Enough series, we’ll unpack Paul’s surprising message: “Rejoice in your suffering.” Not because pain is good, but because God can transform even our hardest seasons into opportunities to love more, grow deeper, trust Him, and draw closer to others.

Maybe you’ve been away from Mass for weeks or months or even years.

Whatever brought you away, please know this: God hasn’t given up on you. ❤️

Come to Mass. That’s the first step.

Come as you are. Let Jesus meet you, love you, heal you, and take care of you. 🙏

Maybe you think you've gone too far from God.

You've made choices you're not proud of.

You got caught up with the wrong crowd.
You chased things that felt good at the time.
You put your career, relationships, or sariling gusto before God.
You knew what was right, but still chose differently.

And maybe you've told yourself:

"Babalik din ako sa Diyos. Hindi pa ngayon."

St. Augustine knew that struggle.

As a young man, he was ambitious and hungry for success. He pursued a career in rhetoric, became involved in a long-term relationship outside of marriage, and spent years following the teachings of Manichaeism. He knew about Christianity through his mother, St. Monica, but for a long time, he resisted fully giving his life to God.

He even famously prayed for chastity while jokingly asking God to let it happen "not yet."

Augustine wasn't pretending to have everything figured out.

He was searching.
He was struggling.
He was making mistakes.
And yet, God never stopped calling him.

Eventually, after years of searching, Augustine surrendered his life to Christ. He was baptized by St. Ambrose in Milan and later became a priest, bishop, and one of the greatest Doctors of the Church.

✨ Trivia: Augustine was around 33 years old when he was baptized. His conversion wasn't the beginning of a perfect life. It was the beginning of a life continually transformed by God's grace.

So if you're thinking, "Ang layo ko na kay Lord," remember Augustine.

You may have wandered far, but you're never beyond God's reach.

What if today isn't the day you fix everything?

What if it's simply the day you finally take one step back toward Him? 🤍🙏

May tao ka bang paulit-ulit na ipinagdarasal?

A child who's making choices you don't understand.

A parent who's grown distant from the faith.

A sibling who's going through something you can't fix.

Or someone you simply wish would find their way back to God.

Minsan, ang tanging nasasabi na lang natin:
"Lord, ilapit Mo ulit siya sa Iyo." 🙏

Today, we remember St. Monica, who spent years praying for her son, Augustine. He had wandered far from the Christian faith and was making choices that deeply worried his mother.

But Monica didn't give up.

She couldn't force Augustine to change. She couldn't choose his path for him. All she could do was continue to love him, pray for him, and entrust him to God.

And eventually, Augustine found his way back to the faith. He was baptized and would later become St. Augustine of Hippo, one of the Church's greatest saints.

✨ Trivia: Monica followed Augustine to Milan, where he eventually encountered the preaching of St. Ambrose, an encounter that became an important part of his journey toward conversion.

Maybe there's someone you've been praying for longer than you expected.

Keep praying.
Keep loving.

And when you can no longer do anything else, place them in God's hands. 🤍🙏
