This Evening, within the Vespers for the 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, we celebrated the 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 of these ten courageous young men. Presided by 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘆𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗮, 𝗢𝗖𝗗 (Local Superior), they officially began their journey in the Postulancy under the guidance of 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘀, 𝗢𝗖𝗗 (Postulant Director).

Today, May 16, 2026, at the St. Elijah Monastery – Novitiate House, five novices of the Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCD) joyfully made their 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗼𝘄𝘀. The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗢𝗖𝗗 and their vows were received by their respective superiors: 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗢𝗖𝗗 (Provincial Superior of the Philippine Province of St. Teresa of Jesus), 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗺 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗢𝗖𝗗 (Commissar of Singapore-Thailand-Malaysia), and 𝗕𝗿. 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗼-𝗞𝘆𝘂 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸, 𝗢𝗖𝗗 (Delegate of the Korea Province).

𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲

Yesterday, May 15, 2026, we celebrated the 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 of our ten new novices, held at the 𝗦𝘁. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗷𝗮𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 - 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲. The Rite was presided over by 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗢𝗖𝗗 (Provincial Superior), and the brothers will continue their formation under the guidance of 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗻̃𝗼𝗻, 𝗢𝗖𝗗 (Novice Master).

Today, May 4, 2026, during Evening Prayer, 𝗙𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗢𝗖𝗗, our Provincial-Elect, was formally installed as the 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁. 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀. We entrust him to the Lord as he begins his term of service, and we pray for the continued growth and mission of the Province.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 | May 4, 2026

Today, May 4, 2026, the Philippine Province of St. Teresa of Jesus formally opened its Provincial Chapter with a solemn Mass of the Holy Spirit, presided over by 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽-𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘃𝘂𝘀 𝗝. 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮, 𝗢𝗖𝗗, 𝗗𝗗. Invoking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the friars entrusted the entire Chapter to God’s wisdom as they begin this important journey of prayer, discernment, and renewal.

The first day also served as a day of recollection, with Archbishop Tirona as the resource speaker. He offered a profound and inspiring reflection on the theme, “𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲: 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.” His conference invited the friars to deepen their identity as Carmelites, strengthen their fraternal communion, and renew their missionary zeal as faithful witnesses of hope in today’s world.

May this Provincial Chapter be a grace-filled time of listening, unity, and openness to the Holy Spirit as the Province continues its mission of service to the Church and Carmel.

As the delegates of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁. 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 gather for the 4th Ordinary Provincial Chapter (May 4 - 9, 2026) let us unite our hearts in prayer and solidarity. May the Lord and Our Lady of Mount Carmel accompany them as they listen together to the voice of the Spirit and discern the paths He sets before them for the good of the Church and the Order.
