Kia ora, Central Baptist. 🙂

Just a reminder about our upcoming half-day Prayer Retreat next Sunday 8 November, 12.45-5.00pm at The Abbey.

With the busy Christmas season fast approaching, this will be a great time to slow and tune into God. We guarantee this will be time well-spent - God is waiting to meet you there. ❤️

Sign up at the Help Desk this Sunday or email Lizzie to register ([email protected]). Transport isn't an issue - just let us know if you need a lift.

PS - If you missed Michelle's excellent reflection on our last prayer retreat, check it out here, 21.20 minutes in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RNffeBGQOg 😊

Central Baptist men, don't forget to join us for Pool Night tomorrow, 7pm at the Invercargill Working Men's Club.

You’re invited! Join hundreds of churches across Australia and New Zealand on Sunday, 1 November, as we pray for the persecuted Church around the world.

We’re lifting up our brothers and sisters in Christ and asking God for peace, protection, and healing for those who risk everything to follow Him.

We can’t change the hearts of their oppressors, but God can.

Soaking the City in Prayer 2026 has wrapped up and we will have the prayer journal on display in the foyer for the next couple of weeks.

So come and read the stories, reflections and prayers of the 22 churches involved. You will be amazed at the creative ways churches prayed for our city and region!

Don't forget, next Tuesday 27 October is the last day for Central Baptist eldership nominations this year. See newsletter for full details.
