Update on this non-event...

The organizing is being done by the CMFI NZ Region, so venue, program etc is unknown at this stage. PLUS, it has been a hassle organizing things around pandemic 😁

Apologies to everyone who hasn't been updated of the change, if you have already booked your flights, it's possible that God has another purpose for your trip.

New River have a Fashion Show happening on Friday evening of 26 November, so come to that as well as the Youth Outreach on Sat and combined service on Sun.

We would still love to have you down here, especially with everything that's been happening this year. Why not make that trip (alert level permitting), see some new sights, experience new things. Just do something or go somewhere that you've never done or been to before 🥰

Talofa everyone, letting you all know that only Air NZ travel down to Invercargill, so it's important that flight bookings are made sooner rather than later, as they do become quite expensive.

Alternatively, you can fly with Jetstar (which is cheaper), however, you travel only as far as either Queenstown or Dunedin. Invercargill is approx 2hr travel by car from either Queenstown or Dunedin. Intercity buses run from either Queenstown or Dunedin, but the travel time is tripled AND you will need to coordinate your flight to the bus timetable.

However, if there are many of you travelling on the same flight down to either Dunedin or Queenstown, we could arrange a pickup.

Pastor & I have travelled extensively between the North & South Islands, by car, bus & flights. We have found that flying directly to/from Invercargill is the most economical way to travel, but you need to book early.

If this is your first time to Southland...flying into Queenstown in the morning or during the day is beautiful, then picking up a rental vehicle and driving down to Invercargill for a scenic delight.

AND THERE'S MORE...There will be a Fashion Show on Friday night, a Youth Outreach and service on Saturday, and a combined CMFI Mission service on Sunday. We hope that while the Youth Outreach is happening on Saturday, the women can go for a tour around Southland, but it's dependent on numbers.

The venue of the Womens Conference will be held at the Scottish Hall, as noted in the flyer. I've received a query as to where this is so that people can work out their accommodation.

Please find below a link to the map where the Scottish Hall is located. It is right in the centre of Invercargill City, so it will be central to all areas of Invercargill. We will be providing transport to/from your accommodation & the venue, so please don't worry too much about whether it's close to the venue as everywhere is pretty close.

NOTE OF ADVICE: Pay attention to the distance in km's of where a motel/hotel is situated from the City when making your booking, that should be an indicator of how far away you will be. Also...again...please add comments, queries here on this page or send a message.

PROGRAM 1...

Just so all you lovely talented and creative women can be prepared...

The NZ Womens Conference, starts on Thu 25 November from 7pm...only a light supper will be provided at the event.

ALSO...Thursday evening will be a night of celebration...celebrating Women, in all our various roles & hats that we wear everyday, every month of every year 🌺🥰

So...each church, district, group (however you want to work it) will come dressed in their best kalavata (Fijian for matching outfits/uniform) & perform an item. There will be a prize for the best puletasi (as a group & individual) so please be creative as possible. You will need to provide us with the WHY behind your creation(s)...I will post on here who the judges on the night will be ❤

Let's all get creative and remember, that this is all about bringing people together & united for a common goal...so get started 🌺🥰

Please share it & invite as many women as you can. There may be a cost involved, but it won't be any more than $50pp towards catering, transport & venue hireage...however, we will confirm this by the end of the month 🥰

The Lord has given me MATTHEW 22:37-39 as the verse for our conference. The theme for our conference is Empowering Women to Healthy Wellbeing, but it all starts with getting our relationships right AND in order - 1st with God, then with others & especially with yourself xo
