Get better results

Pastor Dan Walusa(Greater Life Devotional)

Proverbs 15:24 "The path of life leads UPWARD for the wise, to keep him from going downward to Sheol."

Proverb 15:19 "The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, but the path of the upright is a highway."

Check your path. Where are you heading to. There is only one direction allowed for a believer and that's upward direction. The scripture says the downward way will lead you to Sheol. MOVE UP. Dont accept to go up and down. Its too dangerous for a believer and not consistent with our nature.

2Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit."

Move from glory to glory. Thats an upward and forward movement. Dont accept anything less than that. There are some people whose life isn't consistent with their nature as believers. The only thing that is moving up is their age and everything else seem to be going down. Refuse to go down and that is why your speech and manner of life should be consistent with that nature.

Proverbs 4:18 "But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light, growing brighter and brighter until full day."

Our path should be brighter and brighter not going dimmer and dimmer or not brighter then dimmer. That is not consistent with the path of a righteous person. This is why you should always ensure that your tomorrow is greater than today and today should be better than yesterday. You need to beat your past record.

Excel, increase knowledge, increase wisdom, work more, pray more, study the Word mode. Walk with the Spirit more.

Confession(Speak these words aloud)
I am the righteousness of God. My life has taken one direction and that is forward and upward. I refuse the life of ups and downs because it is not consistent with my nature. I am a child of God and a success now and always. In Jesus Name. Amen

Cast away familiarity

Mar 6:3-5 " Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Josi, Judas, and Simon? Are not his sisters here with us?” They were offended at him. Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.” And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them."

Jesus went to a place where people were so familiar with Him and because of that they never believed in Him. The Bible says He could not do mighty work there. The Bible used the word COULD NOT instead of DID NOT. The Word could not means He wanted to but was hindered by the unbelief that came as a result of familiarity.

The fact that you know someone shouldn't hinder you from getting results. Never be familiar with anyone who is sent by God to you. Even if the person is a friend, receive them as those sent from God.

This world has a lot of people who havent positioned themselves rightly to receive anything from God. Their familiarity with things of God or with those sent by God make it difficult for God to do anything in their lives. They wonder why their life is not making any progress. They question why the Word of God is not working in their life.

John 1:11-12 " He came to what was his own, but his own people did not receive him. But to all who have received him - those who believe in his name - he has given the right to become God's children"

Jesus wasn't received by His own people. The saviour of the world wasn't welcomed by His own. However whosoever receives Him, becomes a child of God. So as many people are getting salvation through Him, those who are familiar are being destroyed. Its dangerous to be familiar with God or His servant.

CONFESSION
I have the Word of God in me. I have the power of God in me and flowing through me. I am full of faith. I refuse familiarity to hinder me from receiving from God. In Jesus Name. Amen

Meditate to excel

Matthew 15:18-19 "But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man. For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies."

Psalm 1:2-3 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

A person is defiled by what comes from his or her heart and that is from the human spirit. Evil thoughts for example come when a person has heard some evil and has meditated on that evil till it becomes real. Thefts and murders are both premeditated actions. Good actions are likewise premeditated actions. What you meditate on becomes reality and affects the actions we do. Even if you hear something bad, refuse to meditate on it because the more you meditate on the bad, the more that bad action becomes a reality and eventually you find yourself doing it. This is the reason the Bible shows us what to meditate on. It is important it is to meditate on good things.

Philip 4:8 8 NKJV "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things."

It's your choice and it's your responsibility. Refuse to think failure, refuse to think poverty. Refuse to medidate the negatives. Fix your mind and heart on success, abundance, getting solutions, doing greater and better. Fix your mind and mouth on the desired results.

When the earth was full of darkness, God refused to think darkness, He rather thought and talked about light and light came. So fix your mind on desired results. Speak desired condition and you will experience the same in your life.

Cover and Restore the brethren

Galatian 6:1-2 Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also are not tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.

If any believer is caught in some fault, ensure you must restore them. Ensure you must bear the burden of such a believer. Dont be among the people that laugh and mock at a fellow believer who is caught in some fault. Dont be among those who continue spreading the bad message of a fellow believer but rather concentrate on restoring that person.

Gen 9:20-26 “Noah began to be a farmer, and planted a vineyard. He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside. Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, went in backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were backwards, and they did not see their father’s nakedness. Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him. He said, “Canaan is cursed. He will be servant of servants to his brothers.” He said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.”

When Ham had seen the nakedness of the drunk father, he went and spread the news. Whereas the other two brothers decided to cover the nakedness of the drunk dad. Choose to be those who cover the fault of the brethren. Pray for the restoration of brethren. Dont be among those spreading the bad news as Ham did. He was cursed whereas the others were blessed.

Confession
I must bear the burden of my fellow believer. I will never be among the people that laugh and mock at a fellow believer who is caught in some fault. In Jesus Name. Amen

Continue to excel

Proverb 31:29 “Many women do noble things, but you excel them all.”

Dont settle at doing good, aim for excellence. Many are doing good, noble, well, average, not bad and so on. However that is not what God wants us to achieve. There is a higher level of achievement and that is excellence. So aim to excel and not merely do good.

We are operating in a world of competition. Whatever you want to do, there a millions others that aim for similar results. However there is a sure way to stand out among the many and that is to continue excellence. Dont be excellent and then later start compromising your standards. Keep the excellence all the way. Let excellence be at the beginning, in the middle and at the end. Never compromise anywhere in between.

Hebrew 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

Jesus is the same yesterday and that is about the past. It means what He was is the same standard. He is still maintaining same today and will maintain tomorrow which is the future. So the excellence of our God is same and will continue to excel forever.

As He is so are we. As is it in heaven so is the earth. We will excel forever. We wont compromise. We wont lower standards. We wont stop hard working. We will win forever. In Jesus Name.

CONFESSION
I excel today and forever. I refuse to compromise. I refuse to settle for lower standards. I continue to excel all the time. In Jesus Name. Amen

The Escape Route

Luk 21:34-36 “So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly. For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth. Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be able to ESCAPE ALL THESE THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

As we move to the end of the age, troubles and persecutions will increase in the world. The opening scripture admonishes us to be watchful and prayerful at all times so that we should be counted worthy to ESCAPE the evils that are coming ahead . That shows us that those who are in Christ and live proper life will ESCAPE.

This should be a great news to all of us who are in Christ. This should be the news we can also share to others to come to Christ in order to ESCAPE. There is no escape of the future World troubles without Christ. He will take us out of this world so that we should not suffer tribulations with sinners.

Luk 17:26-30 "As it happened in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man. They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the box-shaped vessel, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise, even as it happened in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but in the day that Lot went out from S***m, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all. It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed."

Both Noah and Lot were righteous people amongst wicked people and God gave them an ESCAPE route when others were perishing. So maintain your Christian values and win others to Christ. That will be the sure ESCAPE route as the world passes through tribulation.

During the rapture of the church, some will go others will remain. Be among those that will go with the Lord. Maintain your Christian values. He is coming for the church without blemish. He wants that church to go home before troubles hit.

1Thes 4:17-18. ..." then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore comfort one another with these words."

Rapture is a comforting news to those in Christ Jesus. It's not a threatening news. We talk about it as part of comforting each other.

CONFESSION
I am the child of God. I live for the Lord. Am ready to escape through the rapture. In Jesus Name. Amen

Take advantage of His Name

Philippians 2:9-11 (NKJV) Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When a political party is in power, people connected to that party can use the name of the president to obtain their needs.

However the president has a domain. That name can not be used in other countries. Therefore the name is limited to geographical location. In addition the name can be used as long as the person is in power. Which means the name is limited to a specific time period.

Psalms 47:8 (NKJV)God reigns over the nations;
God sits on His holy throne.

Our God reigns. He gave us authority to use the name of Jesus. However the name of Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting. The name of Jesus has no geographical boundaries. It can be used in places you haven’t seen nor heard. It can be used now and in times to come.

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Therefore whatever you do, leverage on the name of the Lord Jesus. Use the name and get results.
Colossians 3:17 (NKJV) “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

I have been given the name above any other name. I have the name of Jesus. I use the name and get results. In Jesus Christ name. Amen

Dont rebuild what God has destroyed

Joshua 6:26 “Joshua commanded them with an oath at that time, saying, “Cursed be the man before the LORD, who rises up and builds this city Jericho. With the loss of his firstborn shall he lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son shall he set up its gates.”

The city of Jericho was destroyed by the Lord God Almighty and God speaks through Joshua that cursed was anyone who would rise to build again the city which God had destroyed. Anyone rebuilding the Lord’s destroyed work will keep on losing what he had.That tells us that we cannot rebuild anything which the Lord is not in it.

Psalm 127:1 “Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain.”

You may be busy trying to build or rebuild something you know is wrong, stop it. You may be building or rebuilding courtship with a non believer and hoping for a good marriage, that will never work because you are building in vain. God is not in it. He already said darkness cannot mix with light.

You may be busy working on project or doing something which is not endorsed by Him, you are doing it in vain. You may even be working and that job is not approved by Him, you do it in vain.

You should also not resurect anything which God is not in it. Dont even try to spend any resource or time.

Galatian 2:18 “For if I build up again those things which I destroyed, I prove myself a law-breaker.”

Dont make yourself a law breaker. Dont rebuild the work which was originally correctly destroyed.

Pro 26:11 “As a dog that returns to his vomit, so is a fool who repeats his folly.”

Dont behave like a dog. Once you abandon anything bad, dont even think about it. Move forward and do something better.

CONFESSION
I will build only which is built by God. I will abandon that which is abandoned by Him. In Jesu Name. Amen
