"A Circumcised Heart"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson, III

"Circumcise therefore the fo****in of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked." - Deuteronomy 10:16 (KJV)

The Lord Yahweh commanded Moses to make a second set of tablets for the Ten Commandments and an Ark. Moses carved the two stones for the tablets and the Lord wrote the commandments on them. Moses placed it in the ark.

The Children of Israel traveled from Beeroth to Mosera where Aaron died, and later to Gudgodah and Jotbath. Yahweh separated the Levi tribe for His service of the sanctuary. The Israelites were required to circumcise their hearts for the Lord.

Within the heart, lots of hidden things are found which are unknown to man, but the Lord sees all. He did not want any pretense from them but rather, a genuine heart of pure dedication. A heart that every bitterness, sinful desires, hatred jealousy, malice, back bitting, etc, exists. He needed them to set themselves free. A heart that carries all of these things is a heavy heart.

Today, these very words are spoken to you by the Lord to circumcise your heart from such things and many more. You can not say you love Him, honor Him but yet disobey His command to you. Yahweh does not want your sacrifice but your obedience. He wants you to set yourself free from every weight that is pulling you far away from Him. He wants you to live and be happy without thinking how to destroy your fellow human because of some irrelevant things. He wants you as He requires.

Prayer
O my Lord, Jehovah, I surrender my heart to you today to be circumcised. Do as you wish so my heart will become ever ready to be used for your service. This I have prayed with thanksgiving. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"A Command To Love"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson, III

"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." - Deuteronomy 6:5 (KJV)

Look around you, what do you see? What do you feel? Everyone wished they were loved by all without any prejudice or because of who they are, but that is not the case. The world has demonstrated so much hate that sometimes it becomes impossible to experience a little bit of honest and genuine love.

The Lord saw this long ago before your generation came into being. Moses was instructed by Yahweh to tell the children of Israel to teach their children to Love Him Yahweh with all their heart, with all their soul and with all their might in order that our generations will have the mind to love Him.

Now, to love, one must not only say they love but it must be demonstrated from within their soul and an outward demonstration. In order to love others, your love is tested by demonstrating that you love Yahweh. You have not seen Yahweh but you have seen your fellow humans. If you can love the one who you cannot see, it is evidence and a high possibility that you will be able to love the ones you can see.

A command to love has been given which does not provide an option. It is a command and not an appeal. The command is straight forward and clear, love with all your heart, soul and might. This command is saying that you should love out of a pure heart. You do not need to be pretentious nor do you need to be persuaded. It's your right. It's your free will and choice. Nevertheless, Yahweh is saying to you that your heart needs to be pure ro love. Love does not dwell in a place where hate is. No, love and hate cannot be in the same place. The choice is yours to make today.

Prayer
My Lord and my God, Elohim, how great you you. You are a God who knows all things. Help me to love the unlovable. Cleanse my heart so it will be purified to love beyond my understanding. In Jesus' name I have prayed with thanksgiving. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

“When the Hands of the Lord Is Against You“

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson, III

“For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.” Deuteronomy 2:15 (KJV)

Yahweh provided leadership through His servant Moses.
Yahweh was leading the children of Israel, instructing them what should be done and what should not be done through his servant Moses as they pass through cities and countries.

When they reached Zerad, the lord revealed unto them something about the place and He also informed them that His hands was against them, to destroy them from among the host until they were consumed.

When the Lord's hands is against you, many things can happen. Life can become unbearable. Although you may have wealth, be ideally positioned or well known, there is no peace, joy or stability. It only takes mercy to prevail and for grace to find you. This is the reason why you need to be careful how you treat those whom He loves and have chosen. Many lives have been destroyed because the Lord hands was against them and many lives had been saved because the Lord hands was upon them.

Sometimes, you may not know that the spirit of Yahweh had left you because of your evil deeds. You may think that He is still with you until you are consumed or begin to see signs that truly He has left you. Like Saul, He chose His people interest over Yahweh interest and made a justification and the Lord hands went against him. It was only a matter of time that he was consumed, even Sampson and many more.

Beware of your actions towards Yahweh and the things of His, because, when the Lord take His hands from you, it’s only a matter of time that you will be removed from the face of the earth.

Prayer
Lord, I thank you for the gift of life. Thank you for your word and have mercy upon me. Please do not remove your hands from covering me and leave me to be destroyed. Help me to know you and help me to obey you. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

“When Yahweh Plans Doesn’t Look Like It“

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williama-Johnson, III

“Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. “Deuteronomy 1:7 (KJV)

The story is about the children of Israel when they were in slavery and how they got delivered by Yahweh through His servant Moses, and later, how they disobeyed Yahweh. They were told that they will remain in the wilderness for forty years. After the forty years came to an end, Yahweh decided to take them to the promised land which He had promised their fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Yahweh told them it was time to leave but in leaving He told them to turn and take their journey to the mount of the Amorites. He didn’t just stopped there, He told them to go everywhere, in the plain, hills, vale, south, by the sea side, land of the Canaanites, unto Lebanon, unto the great river and the river Euphrates.

Most of the time, the direction and the place that God is taking you may seem long and tiring. Sometimes, you will face challenges and tough moments but if you remain resilient and faint not, you will reap what He has for you.

Imagine, the direction Yahweh had given them, put yourself in their shoes and see how tiring it was and the struggles they had to go through, just to reach to fulfillment. Sadly, in this generation, we don’t want to struggle to get to what Yahweh had destined for us, we just want to reach there smoothly. Life is not like that, every journey requires hardship so that you will appreciate it and not misused it.

Today, I want you to reflect and ask yourself, what is that journey that Yahweh is taking you to that doesn't seem like it? The journey may be filled with trials, but be convicted that it His plans for your life and you will keep holding on to that conviction.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you for today and your spoken word. I know that the journey you are allowing me to travel on may not be to my expectations but, I know that you will help me to finish the journey and endure to the end. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

“Yahweh's Command Concerning You“

By: Rev. A Clementina W- Johnson III

“This is the thing which the LORD doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry.” Numbers 36:6 (KJV)

When you dig into the verse you will get to understand that there was a command and a saying about inheritance, every time Yahweh wanted to do something. He either makes a command or give an instruction pertaining to that person or thing.

The text revealed that Yahweh was giving a command to the daughters of Zelophehad. That command was, they should marry whoever they think is best for them but that person should be from a tribe of their fathers.

Though God told the daughters of Zelophehad to marry whomever they think was best for them, He also gave a condition which was to marry from only their fathers tribe and not outside their fathers tribe. Like many of us today, Yahweh is giving us the free will to do what we think is best for us but He is also telling us that He is coming with a reward to give to each men according to what they had done.

Even though the daughters of Zelophehad had the free will to choose their partners, but was given a precondition within their free will. This free will was not to harm them, not to show that He is God all by himself, but to protect them against negative effect.

There are things that Yahweh has commanded you to do and he has given you the free will to make your choice. In making the choice, He will add some terms and conditions that you may not like, but they are intended for your protection and your good. All you need is to obey His commandment .

Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for another day. Thank you for your word. Help me that I will not be stubborn and reject your word. For your word concerning me is never wrong. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"The Declaration of An Angry God"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson, III

"And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers," - Deuteronomy 1:34-35

The book of Deuteronomy begins where numbers ended. The Lord said to Moses that the children of Israel had stayed too long at Kadesh Barnea. Therefore, it was now time to move on. Remember, we had previously said Yahweh had prepared a road map for His people's journey. When Moses informed the children of Israel, they were not very happy hearing this news. Instead, they grumbled a lot. It was decided that twelve spies to be sent to view the promised land Canaan.Ten of them came back with a report that giants were in the land, which caused them to panic and complain.

Yahweh heard the grumbling, and He barred an entire generation of Israelites from entering the Promised Land because of their lack of faith and fear. Moses informed them that Yahweh had heard their rebellious complaints against Him at Kedesh Barnea, and He became angry and swore an oath that none of their evil generation would live to see the Promised Land.

The children of Israel lost faith in their God, who had safely brought them out of Egypt and had been protecting them all along their journey. They had paid attention to the ten spies report instead of trusting in Yahweh. They grumbled, wept, and they rebelled by openingly speaking of appointing a new leader to take them back into Egypt as slaves. Can you imagine? Yes, this is how we humans behave. We forget the goodness of Yahweh when we are in trouble and the only our present situation is of concern to us.

Israel grumbling and unbelief caused the following: 1. Yahweh became attentive and heard, 2. Yahweh's anger was righteous because His character was questioned, and His ability to protect them was doubted, 3. An unbreakable sentence was made. By taking an oath. Yahweh sealed their judgment, and 4. The forty years' consequences of wandering in the wilderness. Be careful of how you grumble when you speak about your God.

Prayer
Oh, Holy Father, Elohim, I am so grateful to you for all you do. Most times, I don't understand and know to what extent you have taken for me to be alive and to remain with you. Help me to understand and not grumble. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"The City of Refuge"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson, III

"Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may flee thither, which killeth any person at unawares." - Numbers 35:11 (KJV)

Sin has no place in the sight of Yahweh, but despite Yahweh's hate for sin, He still loves the one who commits the sins. In His words in 1 Samuel 12:22, He says He will not forsake you for His namesake because it pleased Him to make you His. No matter what you do, there will always be a place for you and a means for you to escape from whatever situation you find yourself.

As the children of Israel were settling into the promised land, Yahweh also instructed Moses to set aside cities of refuge, and. If you read further down in scripture, you will read that Yahweh requested Moses to select six (6) cities. These cities were specifically for people who had killed someone accidentally. They will be allowed to seek safety there until they have a fair trial and are proven guilty.

The cities of refuge were set aside for three reasons. The first reason was for safety purposes, because Yahweh himself had asked Moses to pick these cities. The second reason was that these cities were only to host people who had killed people by accident only and not intentional. The final reason was for fair judgment. In this way, it will stop angry family members or people from killing the person before they can have a proper court hearing.

What can we learn from this text why Yahweh had set up these cities of refuge? We can learn a couple of things. The first lesson is Yahweh's justice and mercy. Yahweh values the lives of humans and respects fairness instead of revenge. Yahweh is not selective when it comes to fair play. He treats everyone the same, regardless of who you are or what you have done. Don't hate to the extent that you are unable to see at least a little bit of truth.

The second lesson to be learned is that we must be about to picture Jesus in any and every given situation. What did Jesus stand for? How would Jesus treat or handle someone in such a situation? The Jesus the Israelites knew, and the Jesus you and I know will always provide protection, for the just and the unjust until proven guilty. The Jesus we know will institute punishment with love.

Prayer
Father, I am grateful that I can be provided with a place of safety, even if I don't see or recognize it. Thank you for your constant protection and fair play. May I always know and value what you have made available unto me. Amen and Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"Setting Boundaries"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson, III

"Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this [is] the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, [even] the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)" - Numbers 34:2 (KJV)

There are times in your life that you must have the courage to set up boundaries in order for you to accomplish what Yahweh has purposed for your life. Sometimes, people do not like and want to set boundaries. They feel it's not good. It will surprise you not to believe that boundaries that are set up always benefit the beneficiaries.

As the children of Israel were settling in Canaan, Yahweh instructed Moses to instruct the children of Israel of the boundaries set and that they will obey the boundaries when they entered their newly acquired possession. We can safely say that the following: Yahweh kept His promise to give the land of Canaan to the Israelites. Second, the promised land is a gift of inheritance. Land is an inheritance, which is a free gift given to them by Yahweh. Inheritance and gift is something you do not earn. Lastly, Yahweh set up clear boundaries for the land in order for everyone to know their exact space.

Why was it so necessary for Yahweh to set up boundaries for the children of Israel in the promised land of Canaan? It was important that boundaries were set for the following reasons. Yahweh wanted fairness. Boundaries set clear lines in the division of land fairly amongst the various tribes of Israel. Secondly, odred. The boundaries established peace and prevented fights of ownership and avoid one tribe to have more land over the other.

Finally, settling up boundaries gave the children of Israel an identity. Having a place of their own helped them to stay together as one nation with a specific place to live. How can you be called a nation when you don't have a place to live?

Remember, boundaries should be set to help you progress in life, have a defined purpose for your life, and provide an identity for you. You can not lose if boundaries are set. In fact, you have a lot to gain.

Prayer
O, Lord my God Jehovah, glory be unto you. Your wisdom can not be compared to anyone, neither your pure and genuine love for me. Give me the strength to set up boundaries and the courage to maintain them. Amen and Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.
