"The Destruction of The Wicked"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson, III

"Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire," says the LORD Almighty. "Not a root or a branch will be left to them. - Malachi 4:1 (NIV)

To those of you who think wickedness is profitable and it's something that you should constantly engage in, listen to what the Word of Yahweh has to say concerning the wicked.

In this last chapter of Malachi, we read about Yahweh's awful judgment on the wicked. The beginning starts with the assurance that no matter what, the judgment of the wickedness of the people of Jerusalem is certain. The Romans will be the ones to destroy Jerusalem. This is a word for you. Arrogance, stubbornness, and denial of the power of God won't excuse you from being destroyed on that day.

The destruction of Jerusalem would be by famine, the sword, or by captivity, and everyone who disobeyed Yahweh will be destroyed. Like Jerusalem, don't think that because no one sees what you have done will cause you to be spared. No, you won't. You will be a part of the destruction because Yahweh sees you.

Finally, after Yahweh destroyed Jerusalem, the word of God says no man or child shall be able to escape. Absolutely no one. Further, we read what happened after the destruction. These words are written for you to learn from the mistakes of Jerusalem and its people so that you won't make the same mistakes. Secondly, you will get to know how far Yahweh can go to render punishment when He is disobeyed and sin is committed. You have a chance for you, your family, community, city, or nation to escape now by doing what is right. Tomorrow may be too late.

Prayer
Heavenly Father Yahweh, I thank you for giving me opportunities upon opportunities to repent and return to you. I am grateful for your love for me. Give me the grace to obey you and flee from disobedience. In Jesus' name, I have prayed with thanksgiving. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"Don't Steal From God"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me! But you say, ' In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, [Even] this whole nation." - Malachi 3:8-9 (NKJV)

People do not like to be told that they are thieves, but yet, they steal every opportunity they have, regardless of what it may be that they seal. They also are quick to point out to others who they claimed have stolen big, noticeable, or embarrassing things. Hey guys, there is no difference when it comes to a thief. Be it a big item or a little tiny item, a thief is a thief.

Not being a thief is so important that the Lord had to write it down to remind you and I that we won't be able to justify our bad behaviour. What is so embarrassing is when people have the audacity to steal from the God who holds their lives in His hands. Secondly, they won't even stop to admit what they have done. But they will pretend as if they had not done anything and will become brave to ask Yahweh if they had rob Him and, if so, how, because they do not know. Can you imagine this?

God is God, and He won't get tired. Yahweh reply is yes, people have robbed Him when it comes to many, many things, but today, we will dwell on tithes and offerings. Yahweh has given you everything and there is nothing He needs for you, but for you to value what He has given to you, He gives you a test to ensue you'll give Him back ten percent of what He has given you. Now, this is not for free. When you do, He promised that He will surely bless you beyond your imagination because you obeyed. Wow! Can't you pass this little test without failing? Let today be the beginning that you won't steal from Yahweh anymore and that you will follow His simple instruction to you.

Prayer
Lord, I have stolen from you so many times and in so many ways. Today, I repent of my actions. Please forgive me and cleanse me from all my sins. With your help, I will not seal your tithe and offering. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"The Lips of A Priest"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he [is] the messenger of the LORD of hosts." - Malachi 2:7 (KJV)

The priest is called by Yahweh, and his needs are provided by Yahweh through His people: food, clothing, and anything you could think of. A priest's responsibility and assignment or task is being the messenger Yahweh wants him to be.

In this chapter, the Lord reproved the priests strongly for being unfaithful to Him in the office he had called them to operate. They were threatened to be deprived of receiving their shared portion of the sacrifice, which was the shoulder. Their purpose stated in verse six is that they are required to deliver the message to the people. Many lives were transformed to worship and serve Yahweh.

The lips of every priest, Apostle, archbishop, bishop, pastor, evangelist, and teacher of the Word should speak only the truth and no fabrications. Their lips should preserve knowledge and wisdom so that the people will seek knowledge and wisdom from them to grow in Christ. They are not to thwart the Word of Christ to suit their own convenience and distract and deceive the people from receiving Christ.

If you are a believer of Christ, you are also of the royal priesthood. Be mindful of what you utter and do in and out of the presence of Yahweh and His people. You will be held accountable for your actions and for the denial of souls to be with the Lord in heaven.

Prayer
Thank you, Jesus, for sending priests into our lives. Help us recognize and take heed from the right ones and reject the false counsels and teachings. May I be patient with them to allow you to deal with them in your own way. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"Rejeceted Offering"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?" says the LORD Almighty" -Malachi 1:8 (NIV)

In this chapter, we see how Yahweh showed great favour towards the Israelites as compared to what He had done to the Edomites. The Edomites were threatened with further mark of devine disppleasure, perhaps alluding to the calamities which they had suffered from Judas Maccabeus and John Hyrcanus.

The Lord was not pleased with the sacrifices His people had offered unto Him, especially His priests, who should have known better the kind of sacrifices that pleases Him. They offered unto Him a sacrifice that He had warned them not to offer, which the priests offered. Blind, lame and dead animals were offered, which was not acceptable to Yahweh.

What do you think, do you think it is right to give your God something that you yourself wouldn't accept? In fact, He had already told them what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. If you offer what is not acceptable, it means you offered it with an intention that is not good. Do you give your earthly loved ones anything that they won't be pleased with? No right, then why should your Heavenly love one be given such?

Be warned, any offering or sacrifice offer to Yahweh that is not acceptable in His site will be rejected, and depending on what has been offered and the intention, you will suffer consequences for your action.

Prayer
My Lord and God, I repent of every wrong offering and sacrifice that I have offered unto. Have mercy upon me, and please forgive me. By your grace, I will offer unto you what is required of me. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"What Brings Service"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: - Jude 1:1 (KJV)

This chapter, verse one tells us that there are people who have been set apart for the Master's used, and they’re also called by him. This text points out three cardinal points:
sanctified, preserved, and called.

Jude wasn’t just a servant of Jesus Christ , he was also a brother of James, sanctified by Yahweh preserved in Jesus Christ and called, like most of us were called or are being called. We serve Yahweh. Sometimes, because of our service to him He wants to sanctify us, but the question is, are we willing to be sanctified? The act of sanctification comes with being willing and being in agreement with God , God can not sanctify you unless you are willing and in agreement with him. He will not do anything without your consent cause He has given you the free will.

When Yahweh decides to sanctify you, you will align in His will, and there comes preservation cause God will not set you apart from a lot of things and not preserve you. This is not His nature.

When we are sanctified and
preserved by Him, that is the time we realize that there’s a calling upon your life. Yahweh told Jeremiah in the book of Jeremiah that even before Jeremiah was conceived He already knew him and had ordained him as a prophet. Yahweh didn’t stop there. He went on by saying I have a plan for your life plans to prosper you and not to harm you to bring you to your expected end.

Like most of us before we were even formed and conceived into this world, there was and there is a call of service , sanctification and preservation that is upon us but are we willing to agreed and align to this called that’s the question.

Today, I like for you to sit and take a few mins to reflect on your life concern on this text.

Prayer
Lord, help me to recognize that you want to sanctify, preserve, and call me. Give me the spirit of willingness to align myself to your purpose for my life. In Jesus' name, I have prayed. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"Though Punished, But Protected"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle." - Zechariah 14:3 (KJV)

Love is a beautiful thing, but it can be crazy at times. Because of love, a man will do almost anything. If a human can do such what's more of a great and mighty God. What is it that God won't do to preserve His love for mankind? Sometimes, the demonstration of His love in punishment, which is often criticised.

In this chapter, the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans is shared and the calamities of the event. The Prophet quickly reminded the people that although the Jewish people had faced such a tragedy, nevertheless, the ones who had been used in carrying such out will face the full consequences of their actions in the days to come. He said the Lord will display His power in such a miraculous and magnificent way that they as believers and their enemies will be struck with terror.

The Lord said He will fight those nations that fought against Jerusalem through the northern nations who will destroy the entire empire who stood as a place that accommodated everyone. Although Jerusalem was punished with destruction, the love Yahweh had moved His hand to protect them by punishing their destroyers.

You may not know how much Yahweh loves you when He punishes you. Don't mistake His punishment for hate. He is protecting you.

Prayer
O Lord, my God, how excellent you are. You know all things and know what's best. May I remember when you punish me, it is out of love to restore me and not of hate. Cleanse my negative thoughts. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"The False Prophet's Confession"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"But he shall say, I [am] no prophet, I [am] an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth." - Zechariah 13:5 (KJV)

To admit one's wrong doings is not an easy thing done by anyone, but when it is done, it is either because of true conviction, constraints to admit, no other option, or you are compelled to. Because of selfishness and greed, anyone can be possessed to the extent to claim to become a prophet when they are not. The good thing is, no matter how long they pretend to be one, they will be exposed.

The Jews were told by the Prophet that they would be pardoned completely from all of their sins after their humiliation, and they would be delivered from idolatry and false prophets. The false prophets shall openly declare that they are no longer a false prophet or diviner. They will be compelled to give up their false practices and become laborers in the land. The people will question them to ascertain if they were still addicted to such practices because they had been known for such practices. The false prophets will declare they are not a prophet, neither true nor false prophet, but they are now farmers and have been brought up as herdsman.

Yes, the time will come when in your presence, the false prophets will openly confess that they are not a true prophet but one who has enslaved you for their own benefit. If they repent and ask Yahweh for forgiveness, they will be forgiven, but if they don't, they will not be forgiven and will be destroyed. Ask Yahweh to open your eyes to identify them.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for your love towards us, despite the many betrayals. I am blessed to be forgiven over and over. May I realize how much you love me and to realize who the false prophets in my life are. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"Your Enemies Shall Be Judged"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"I will take away the blood from his mouth, And the abominations from between his teeth. But he who remains, even he [shall be] for our God, And shall be like a leader in Judah, And Ekron like a Jebusite." - Zechariah 9:7 (NKJV)

Israel had many enemies. The Lord had given the prophet a prophesy that He would destroy the enemies of His people. Syria, Phoenicia, and Palestine were first conquered by Nebuchadnezzar and later by Alexander. The Lord said, "I will take away his blood out of his mouth." The Palestines used to consume blood, but when they were incorporated with the Israelites, the Lord said they would no longer consume blood and everything that is abominable in His sight. Those who remain in Jerusalem, especially the cities of Gaza and Ashdod, became followers of Christ.

Have you ever wondered why you have enemies or why there will always be enemies of progress in your life? Well, whatever is good attracts many things, and that also includes enemies. Enemies won't accept any progress or goodness coming your way, and it will always try to oppose and reject it. But Yahweh says He will anoint your head with oil in the presence of your enemies. In the presence of your enemies is when Yahweh showcases His powers over evil and shows His love towards you.

Rest assured that your enemies will receive their just punishment. They won't escape. But in administering the punishment, the primary goal of Christ is that they will repent and receive salvation. This is the ultimate mission of Christ coming down to earth. Your enemies are important for your uplifting.

Prayer
Father, thank you for loving me to the extent that you won't allow injustices to occur in my life without an intervention for your glory and my spiritual well-being. I am so grateful that I can be loved this much. Amen and Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"Why Do You Fast"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh [month], even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, [even] to me?" - Zechariah 7:5 (KJV)

After the Jews were set free from captivity, some remained in Babylon. Some felt perhaps they were now free. Although they were in Babylon, there was no need to continue to fast. They inquired from the priests and prophets in Jerusalem if they were still bound by law to which were appointed during the destruction of Jerusalem. The prophet was responsible for enforcing the law, judgment, and mercy.

The fact that they were rebuilding the temple to bring it to a beautiful state and that previous times they had fasted for the burning of the temple and the death of the people, they did not wanted to be bound by any law. The prophet Zechariah then asked what their intention of fasting. Was the fast intended for Yahweh to give Him the glory and ask for His intervention, or was it for themselves to see how they can fast or what their fasting does?

This question is also posed to you today? Why do you fast? Do you feel compelled and constrained to fast? Is fasting so burdensome for you? Kindly permit me to remind you that fasting is the key that opens locked doors. Fasting moves the hands of Yahweh to an extent that prayers can not. Fasting allows you to see another manifestation of Yahweh's power and love. Finally, fasting is like a pain reliever that sets you free from whatever situation you face.

Prayer
Lord, I come to you realizing how I have fasted for the wrong reasons and my bad attitude towards some of the fasts. I repent today of all my sins. Have mercy upon me, Lord Jesus. Thank you for forgiving me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.

"The Flying Roll"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"Then said he unto me, This [is] the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off [as] on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off [as] on that side according to it." - Zechariah 5:3 (KJV)

In a vision, the Lord allowed the Prophet Zechariah to behold a flying roll. This flying roll was twenty cubits long and ten cubits broad. This flying roll was the catalogue, or one would say the book bearing all the crimes of the people and the punishment the Lord Yahweh had threatened to implement. The roll was believed to be the large rolls that the Jews wrote the Pentateuch.

There are two words used that sums up two general types of crimes committed by the people, sealing and swearing. The first is the sin against man and the second, the sin against God. The Lord said He would send this curse into the house or the city of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, who was the public plunderer, and the most glaring idolater.

Today, as you look around and perhaps search yourself, you will see how people commit these two major crimes on a daily basis. The most regretful part is that they do not think it is anything. Some justify their reasons for doing such. Stealing and swearing are crimes Yahweh does not accept. Watch what you do and say.

Prayer
O Heavenly Father, your patience and mercies are sometimes taken for granted and misunderstood. May I remember that sealing and swearing are not those things I should underestimate your mercies on. Please control my hands and my mouth in what I take and say. Amen.

"The Blessings That Awaits You"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson, III

"Thus says the LORD of hosts: ' If you will walk in My ways, And if you will keep My command, Then you shall also judge My house, And likewise have charge of My courts; I will give you places to walk Among these who stand here." - Zechariah 3:7 (NIV)

The Lord Yahweh had shown Zechariah in a vision His intention concerning the Jews. Although the Jews were rebuilding the temple of the Lord, there were many adversaries they encountered to hinder them from doing their work. The vision was revealed to Zechariah to give them the strongest hope that He Yahweh after saving them and bringing them out of Babylon will not give them up. His blessings for them await them.

Despite what they were undergoing at the time, Yahweh wanted the Israelites, the priests, and all the people to be encouraged as He had restored their land, they should walk in His ways and remain faithful to Him. If this is done, the blessings that await them is, they shall be a part of lHis family, and they would have saved their places in His Kingdom in eternal glory along with those that are sanctified.

Yahweh is giving you the same opportunity today to become a member of His family in eternal glory. I know, perhaps there are many obstacles that may be hindering you from being focused and trusting Him all the way, but I tell you that it you do, you won't regret it. The blessings are yours. It awaits you to receive it.

Prayer
My Lord and my God, how excellent is your name. From the moment I encountered you, a new life for me began. And now, your blessings that await me, I will receive all by your grace. Amen and Amen.

"The Horns and The Craftsmen"

By: Rev. A. Clementina Williams-Johnson,III

"And I said, "What are these coming to do?" So he said, "These [are] the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up [their] horn against the land of Judah to scatter it." - Zechariah 1:21 (NKJV)

The Prophet Zechariah was warning the people to repent in other that they won't endure the wrath of Yahweh as was inflicted on their forefathers. The Lord was angry with Judah and Jerusalem and allowed their enemies to punish them. But in punishing these two nations, the enemies went overboard and punished them beyond expectation. This also caused Yahweh to be angry. The Lord said He would visit these nations that had severely punished His people.

In a vision to Zechariah, the Lord Yahweh showed him four horns and four craftsmen. The four horns represented the four powerful nations that Judah had been depressed by, or it can be tearmed in reference to the four cardinal points of the heavens from whence they came: The Assyrians and Babylonians of the North, the Egyptians of the South, the Moabites and Ammonites of the East, and the Philistines of the West

The four craftsmen are also four other powers who will defeat the four other powers (the horns). The first and second are Nabopolassar, the father of Nebuchadnezzar who overturned the empire of the Assyrians, and Cyrus, who destroyed the Chaldeans. The third and fourth are Alexander the Great, who destroyed the Persians empire and Ptolemy, who declared himself as master of Egypt.

Yahweh can become angry with you and will allow you to be purnished when you disobey Him. What He will not tolerate is when the ones who have been given permission to punish you overstep their bounds. He will definitely give you justice, no matter how big or great they may be. Rest assured of His love and His promises to you.

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I appreciate your love for me even when you are angry with me. Your anger is tempered with love and mercy. There is no one like you. I am blessed to have a God like you. Thank you, Yahweh. Amen and Amen.

Remain blessed always because of Christ.
