Happy Mother's Day 2026!
On Mother's Day 2026, we celebrated mothers and honored Mother Comfort M. Minor as our Mother of the Year 2026/2027! 💐
Rev. Decontee A. Johnson, District Superintendent, Grand Bassa District, and a former Associate Pastor of our church, delivered a sermon themed "The Intervention of a Godly Mother," with text taken from 1 Samuel 25:1-3, 13-28.
We learned that a godly mother is a mother who reaches out for peace in the community and the church. She is always reminded that serving her family, community, and church is serving God.
A godly mother is:
▪︎ a mother of dignity; she's reserved and dresses modestly.
▪︎ a mother with patience; she accepts obstacles. She doesn't abandon her home, children, or community.
▪︎ she's not vengeful; she's courageous; she stands tall in the face of hardship.
▪︎ a mother of wisdom; she speaks with wisdom. She doesn't just talk because she wants to talk.
