Today's news is alarming! However, the Bible Society of Liberia remains resilient in the fight against drugs. We are committed to joining forces with the Government of Liberia to combat the rapid spread of narcotic drugs in Liberia. We have been conducting seminars, workshops, and conferences with young Liberians both non-drug addicts and drug addicts to create awareness and prevention. For those involved, we have partnered with rehab centers where we refer them for treatment, though their services are not free of charge. We encourage all serious-minded Liberia to join this fight against illicit drugs so that Liberia will be a safe place for posterity.

Counseling Training Opportunity for Everyone!

There are many within our communities who have marital, relationship, financial, social, cultural, mental health issues, etc., for which they look up to the church for answers. Your local church could revamp its community outreach by acquiring this training and establishing a counseling office within the church to meet with persons in need on a regular weekly basis.

Are you a pastor in need of a counselling training to help your members? The answer for your quest is here. The UMU Graduate School located on Ashmun Street, Monrovia will conduct a one-week counselling training scheduled from Monday to Saturday, January 16-20, 2023. The chief facilitator is Dr. Righard Hoffman from Philadelphia, USA.

There will be two sessions: 9am-12 noon, and from 2pm-5pm. Registration fee is USD$25 or its equivalent per local church, and it covers the pastor (s) and three members. Registration is in progress at the UMU Graduate School.

Please take advantage of this counseling course designed to help churches establish counseling offices within their local churches. This initiative will enable local churches to connect with members as well as non-church goers in the community in which the local church exists.
