During the Mass, Fr. Kaloki’s mother shared a moving speech that brought many to tears. She remembered him not just as a priest, but as a little boy full of love — gentle, kind, and always caring. She spoke of how even as a child, his heart was big enough for everyone.

What touched us most was her tender remembrance of Fr. Kaloki’s deep love for his grandmother — her own mother — who is still alive today. She shared how Kaloki cherished his grandmother dearly, never missing a chance to visit her, call her, or make her smile. That bond of love between grandson and grandmother remained unbroken until his last days.

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Rev. Fr. Nicholas Kaloki, C.M🕊️

Today, we gathered at Machakos County to celebrate a solemn Remembrance Mass for our beloved late Fr. Kaloki — exactly five years since he went to the Lord’s eternal rest in June 2021.

The Mass was joyfully led by Rev. Fr. Benson, C.M on behalf of the Congregation of the Mission Vice Province of Kenya, with the presence of fellow priests, religious, and faithful who still hold Fr. Kaloki dearly in their hearts.

Fr. Kaloki was not just a priest — he was a dedicated servant of God and community. He faithfully served as the Congregation’s Bursar and as the Parish Priest of Thigio. Ordained in May 2014, his short but fruitful years of ministry left a lasting mark on all who knew him.

As we remember him today, we thank God for the gift of his life, his humility, and his service. Though five years have passed, his memory remains evergreen.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Warm welcome to Kenya!

This morning, we had the joy of receiving a special group of visitors at JKIA.

Arriving from Ireland are college students from St. Paul’s College and Castleknock College two institutions rooted in the Vincentian tradition. These students, all serving as Vincentian Lay Missionaries-Ireland, have touched down in Nairobi for a transformative two-week immersion program.

During their stay, they will immerse themselves in Kenya’s school system, learning from local communities and schools, St Vincent De Paul Catholic School Thigio and St. Vincent Depaul Academy - Matisi while sharing the Vincentian spirit of service, compassion, and solidarity.
