EQUIPPING MISSIONARIES TO VALUE AND PROTECT HUMAN LIFE

From 31st August to 3rd September, AGC missionaries serving among the Turkana, Pokot, and Ilchamus communities, together with local church leaders from these communities, gathered at the AGC Missions Staging Center in Nakuru for a transformative workshop on “The Sanctity of Human Life.”

The training was facilitated by teams from ReachGlobal and Life International,in partnership with The Palm M Foundation.

At the heart of the training was a biblical conviction:
• Human life is sacred because it is created and valued by God, beginning from conception.
With this foundation, the missionaries and church leaders were equipped to engage some of the complex issues confronting the Church and the communities they serve, including abortion, Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM), early marriages, the effects of polygamy, widowhood, care for orphans, persons with disabilities, and other emerging social challenges.

Beyond knowledge, the workshop was a call to greater compassion, courage, and action. The participants returned to their mission fields equipped, challenged, and renewed with zeal to proclaim the Gospel while championing the dignity and value of every human life.

Our prayer is that this training will contribute to communities where human life is increasingly valued, protected, and treated with dignity, and where the Church continues to be a faithful voice for life and transformation.

Celebrating a Life of Faith, Scholarship, and Service.

The Africa Gospel Church (AGC) Kenya fraternity extends its congratulations to Rev. Dr. Paul Ekal Lokol on his election as Deputy Presiding Bishop.

Dr. Lokol's career traces a distinguished path from the shores of Lake Turkana to the highest levels of church leadership in Kenya. He began his career as a teacher of Christian Religious Education and History, where he built a reputation for rigor and conviction, encapsulated in his enduring maxim: "CRE, the word of God — no one should fail." His book, *Stand Out and Be Counted*, extends this commitment to formation beyond the classroom, offering readers a framework for purpose-driven living.

Dr. Lokol's record of service spans more than two decades across pastoral ministry, education, and administration. He served as Student Pastor at AGC Chepkutung from 2002 to 2005, then as Senior Pastor at Berea AGC Lokichar from 2005 to 2008, concurrently serving as Head Teacher at AGC Lokichar Secondary School from 2005 to 2006. In 2009 he served as Senior Supervisor at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, followed by a term as District Officer, Assistant Secretary Cadet, and Assistant County Commissioner at the Ministry of Public Administration and Internal Security from 2010 to 2013.

He returned to AGC Kenya as Director of Education from 2013 to 2016, concurrently serving as Human Resource Manager from 2014 to 2016, and later as Administrative Secretary from 2016 to 2020, a position central to the denomination's governance and operations. He then served as Principal of the Tenwek School of Chaplaincy from 2020 to 2024. He currently serves as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academics, Research and Student Affairs at Kenya Highlands University, a position he has held since 2024, and as Provost of Kenya Highlands Seminary since 2025.

His academic credentials include a PhD in Religion, a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management, a Master of Arts in Christian Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and a Bachelor of Theology, earned across Africa Nazarene University, the College of Human Resource Management Nairobi, Wesley Biblical Seminary (USA), Egerton University, and Kenya Highlands Evangelical University. He is also a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K).

Dr. Lokol now assumes office as Deputy Presiding Bishop of AGC Kenya and Bishop for the Turkana Region. AGC Kenya extends its prayers for wisdom and strength as he takes up this new mandate, and looks to his leadership to advance the church's mission of transformation and growth.

The fraternity joins in congratulating Rev. Dr. Paul Ekal Lokol on this appointment.

Two days of impact in Machakos.

Children’s Department Director Rev. Floridah Korir and Rev. Holly Mulheisen trained children’s ministry teachers, equipping them to disciple the next generation with confidence and love.

Teachers learned, connected, and caught fresh vision for reaching children with the gospel. This is what our mission looks like in action: taking the whole gospel to the whole world, training, one teacher, one child at a time.

AGC KENYA CHURCH LEADERSHIP.

The Africa Gospel Church Kenya family celebrates a significant milestone in the life of the Church. Following the Central Church Council meeting held from 17th–19th August 2026, the Church announces the following leadership results:

Rev. Dr. Robert Langat, PhD, EBS, has been re-elected as Presiding Bishop of Africa Gospel Church Kenya for a further term of five years, effective 1st January 2027.

Rev. Dr. Paul Lokol, Bishop Elect for Turkana Region, has been elected Deputy Presiding Bishop Elect, also serving a five-year term from 1st January 2027.

The Council further elected thirteen Regional Bishops Elect who will each serve a five-year term commencing 1st January 2027, representing Baringo, Bomet, Coast, Kericho, Keringet, Nairobi, Nakuru, Nandi, Narok, Siongiroi, Trans Nzoia, Turkana, and West Pokot regions.

The Consecration and Installation of the newly elected Regional Bishops and the Deputy Presiding Bishop Elect will take place on 4th December 2026. The venue will be communicated in due course.

We congratulate all our elected leaders and join in prayer for wisdom, humility, and grace as they prepare to serve.
