Everyone is warmly welcome to join us for worship and fellowship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 followed by tea, coffee, biscuits and a chance to chat! Ages 5-18.

Services available on our YouTube channel. For more information please message us Weekly Christian worship at 10:30 each Sunday where everyone is warmly welcome. Refreshments following the service. Services also live-streamed on our YouTube Channel

Other activities during the week include:

Monday & Wednesdays 9:15-11:15 RainbowKidz Stay and play group for children Aged up to 3 years and parents. Meets during term time costs £1 per session to cover refreshments. Monday 14:00 Social Activities Group meet for a cuppa, biscuit and a chat. Men can play table tennis and ladies gentle exercise. Recommended donation of £3 per week. Monday 19:00 1st Lanesfield Girls Brigade Company for girls 5-18 years. A whole range of activities including opportunity to take part in Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

Tuesday 13:00 The Craft group meet weekly where members work at their own pace on their own projects. Opportunity to craft for charity. Refreshments included with a £2 recommended donation. Tuesday 17:45 Wives Fellowship Group meeting during term time to meet in fellowship and monthly guest speakers. Voluntary donation requested. Wednesday & Sunday 18:30 & 16:00 respectively Lanesfield BB/GB Drums and Corps Marching Band giving an opportunity to learn a musical instrument for free and take part in a marching band learning important life skills. Wednesday 20:30 Table Tennis Group meet to play friendly and competitive games. Fees may be required to play competitive games

Thursday 18:30 10th Wolverhampton Boys Brigade Company for lads aged 5-18. A whole range of opportunities and skills learnt including the possibility to partake in Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme. Term time only. Friday 10:30 The Choir meets with a group of like minded people who enjoy singing together. No experience needed. Everyone welcome. Sunday 10:30 Worship Band where musicians and vocalists meet to play upbeat contemporary Christian songs

Country music legend Dolly Parton has died at age 80. Her nephew, Brian Seaver, announced her death on Aug. 25 in a video Parton had asked him years earlier to make.

Although her family is grieving, Seaver said, “Sadness lies with us, not with Dolly.” Reflecting the family’s Christian faith, he declared, “Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus,” where she was surely reunited with her husband, Carl Dean, her parents and other loved ones in heaven.

Just four days before her death, Parton shared an update about her health struggles but remained hopeful and committed to her work. “Even though I’m still healin’, I’m still workin’,” she said, promising to continue for “as long as I can.”

Seaver remembered Parton as someone who opened doors for her family and generations of singers, songwriters, musicians and dreamers. Comparing her to her farmer father, he said, “He farmed the soil, she farmed songs and happiness.”

He concluded with a message of faith and love: “Rest in peace, Aunt Dolly… May God bless Dolly Parton.” He added, “She will always love you.”

All loving and all-embracing God, our hearts overflow with gratitude when we think and feel your love, manifested in Jesus Christ and poured into our hearts by your Holy Spirit. Let our response be spontaneous praise, praying fervently, reading your words passionately and welcoming the strangers genuinely. Give us charismatic smiles, courteous words and sacrificial hearts when we approach others with your love. Help us to overcome the temptation of being engaged in pious acts to win your favour and instead teach us to live in solidarity with you and with the needy and suffering. Let us and our churches reflect your love in a love-hungry world, now and always. Amen.
