Lanesfield Methodist Church Everyone is warmly welcome to join us for worship and fellowship on Sunday mornings at 10:30 followed by tea, coffee, biscuits and a chance to chat! Ages 5-18.

Other activities during the week include:

Monday & Wednesdays 9:15-11:15 RainbowKidz Stay and play group for children Aged up to 3 years and parents

. Meets during term time costs £1 per session to cover refreshments. Monday 14:00 Social Activities Group meet for a cuppa, biscuit and a chat. Men can play table tennis and ladies gentle exercise. Recommended donation of £3 per week. Monday 19:00 1st Lanesfield Girls Brigade Company for girls 5-18 years. A whole range of activities including opportunity to take part in Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

Tuesday 13:00 The Craft group meet weekly where members work at their own pace on their own projects. Opportunity to craft for charity. Refreshments included with a £2 recommended donation. Tuesday 17:45 Wives Fellowship Group meeting during term time to meet in fellowship and monthly guest speakers. Voluntary donation requested. Wednesday & Sunday 18:30 & 16:00 respectively Lanesfield BB/GB Drums and Corps Marching Band giving an opportunity to learn a musical instrument for free and take part in a marching band learning important life skills. Wednesday 20:30 Table Tennis Group meet to play friendly and competitive games. Fees may be required to play competitive games

Thursday 18:30 10th Wolverhampton Boys Brigade Company for lads aged 5-18. A whole range of opportunities and skills learnt including the possibility to partake in Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme. Term time only. Friday 10:30 The Choir meets with a group of like minded people who enjoy singing together. No experience needed. Everyone welcome. Sunday 10:30 Worship Band where musicians and vocalists meet to play upbeat contemporary Christian songs

With holidays and the heat our numbers were few at May’s Lanesfield Methodist Church community cafe but those who attended enjoyed leek & potato soup, roast pork or beef pie. Lemon meringue or rhubarb crumble with lashings of ice cream finished the feast nicely.

31st July is our next community cafe, no need to book - 3 course menu for £7 per person.

Last Friday we were honoured to be a part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Award Celebration which was hosted by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace 🙌

Held on a beautiful sunny afternoon, it was a wonderful way of celebrating our Gold Award achievers, and recognising the efforts of several of our BB DofE leaders who were invited as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

Well done to all of the award achievers, and thank you to all of our dedicated leaders for all that you do! 👏

A prayer at Pentecost, for Aldersgate Sunday 🙏

Holy Spirit come again this Pentecost:
Out of the depth we call.
Cut through the noise to still our souls and warm our hearts.
Open our ears to hear and understand.
Give us to unhurried work as those assured by grace.
Holy Spirit come again this Pentecost:
Out of the depth we call.
Prevent us from harm, raise our hope, comfort our lament.
Persist in us as conscience, care and love.
As you awoke our brother John, awaken us: from his Aldersgate into our own.
Amen.
