On Sunday we celebrate the feast of Pentecost where we remember the descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples. Please do join us for out 9:30 Mass as we mark the end of the Easter period and pray for the Holy Spirit to breathe new life into us and the mission of the church. All are welcome and encouraged to wear something red (Fr Adam says that claret is a shade of red for any Villa fans wanting to also celebrate the Europa League win!)

At our Easter Day Mass this morning we rededicated and reinstalled in our Lady Chapel this Christus Rex, which had previously been damaged. It depicts Jesus as our King and High Priest. The one who washed our feet on Maundy Thursday, who was sacrificed on the altar of the Cross and is now alive and reigns forever. Thank you to those who lovingly restored it

Holy Saturday - a day of silence and waiting, as Jesus lies in the tomb. An ancient sermon for today tells us how Jesus has gone searching for our first parents, Adam and Eve, searching for them and all who are far from God, as a shepherd searching for the lost sheep.

Tonight, at 7pm, we have our Easter Vigil, the most dramatic and important of all of the services we have in the year. We start by lightning a new fire and the Paschal candle as a symbol of Christ ending our darkness. We hear the story of how God has saved his people. We gather at the font to renew our Baptism promises and recall that we are washed clean in Jesus and we celebrate our first Mass of Easter. Please do join us on this Holy and joyful night
